7 overs 2-18
They looked more on great saves by Beau and Marnus and tight bowling on a flat pitch
Problem is when we go to our other bowlers
This is a 400 + pitch

Instead Green gets another run after contributing very little in the series
Very little runs and now 8 overs at more than 7 rpo

In the best news of the day imho Damien Martyn has woken from his induced coma and apparently is making a good recovery from meningitis.

Smith many loose shots but many skied balls no where near a fielder
Beau Webster at 120 + kph not threatening and his reaction to possible catches is terrible
Green finally gets wicket but oversteps ( identical to the overstep that dismissed Starc in a previous test ) but if they had missed this one the outcry from the English press would have been deafening
Greens overstep however unforgivable
Hope Beau can bat because he's been dissapointing in the field

So far England are way in front of sessions won yet down 3-1 in the series
Imo they are in front in the luck
4 out of 5 tosses won ,No Cummins ,Hazelwood and Lyon
Aussie selectors stubborn refusal to drop out of form players
Given we had months to prepare losing 3 main bowlers tells me our prep in the lead up poor . Only up 3-1 because England are a poor test team
Evidenced by the fact they are 3rd last in WTC table
If we had been playing South Africa we would be losing the series ?

Root is only 70 runs or so off 14, 000 Test runs. Outside chance of reaching it in this game.

400+ will be a good score. Pitch is already starting to play games.

So great toss to win for England because day 1 the wicket was dead by comparison
Imo 384 a good score
Time for Weatherald , Labuchagne and Green to stand up as they have been very poor so far .
