I think if the light situation is going to be the same for today and tomorrow they're getting pretty close to having enough now.

ive backed SA and draw bit it is a stupid rule

bloody renshaw on fire, got that wrong
got to hope smith doesn't take the catches he did 1st innings

[Yossarian]

That looked dodgy. Seriously how do give that out? Guy must have fingers made of stone. Looked like it definitely hit the ground running. Shocking call.

[happy_tiger]

Reckon we got the timing of declaration right

Renshaw doing it with the ball now

He has had a great test by any definition, just as well because our mob need a lift.

I reckon Renshaws bowling is better than Marnus or Heads bowling

Australia require six wickets on the final day to win the first Test, but a head knock to Steve Smith soured a strong day for the Aussies.

“This is YOUR Test match, Matt Renshaw.”
With both bat and ball.

Australia set to end South Africa's unbeaten run;

Matt Renshaw scores 89 in second inningsAustralia declared at 314-6 on day four of the First Test in Durban, setting South Africa a world-record target of 421 runs to win.

Renshaw, in his second Test back after three years out, scored 89 following a 190 in the first innings.
He took his first Test wicket dismissing captain Temba Bavuma with off-spin late in the day.South Africa closed at 102-4, needing 319 runs with six wickets remaining.

Aiden Markram remained unbeaten on 45 from 115 balls.

I crashed at about 1/55
Nice to wake up to see them taken another 3 wkts for about 45 runs.
Go Aussies

[Buttface]

What's the answer though? Renshaw probably has the best technique and temperament for an opener but who else is there? Head is great when he comes off. Maddinson is a huge question mark.

Give us all a couple more shield rounds and we’ll re convene.
