huge century for bavuma, well done

[tiger_one]

These guys came together at 6/110.
Game savers.
Game changers.
After being stranded on 95 not out in Johannesburg in 2018, Bavuma finally gets his first Test ton against Australia.

One question: why have the Aussies not had a 3rd slip for Hazelwood?

[tiger_one]

Way into the South African 1st innings, Scotty again giving another top performance once after getting an opportunity ....

[happy_tiger]

If SA want to win this Test they declare in the next 15 to 20 minutes

[tiger_one]

Some Temba Bavuma brilliance put South Africa in the box seat after day three.

STUMPS, Day 3 - What a turnaround!
Bavuma's epic 179 (338b, 547 mins), Jansen 85 & Harmer 82 power S
A from 97/5 to 425/9d.
Boland 5/81 for AUS.
Rabada strikes - Maddinson 0.
AUS 3/1, trail by 422.
2 days to play
Could SA do it?
Time for the Aussie top order to do its stuff.

179 is now the highest score by a South Africa captain vs Australia with the previous best being Graeme Smith’s 122 in Adelaide, 2012.

Bavuma emerged in the gloom at 12-2 on day one, batted for 552 minutes across three days in making his highest Test score allowing the Proteas to declare on 425-9

Mitchelll Starc ticks off another bowling miletstone

Wicket No.450

Wiaan Mulder c Renshaw b Starc

It didn't take Starc long to raise the ball once again following a prolific home Ashes summer where he was named the Compton–Miller Medallist as player of the series for his 31 wickets at 19.93 across all five Tests.
Just a little over a year after his 400th scalp, Starc reached the 450-wicket milestone with a searing bumper in Gqeberha to dismiss South African Wiaan Mulder.

Starc is just the 10th bowler in Test history to take 450 wickets, the fifth fast bowler and the most prolific left-armer of all time.

A series of batting recoveries

[tiger_one]

South Africa at one point 110/6 and from then he smashed 85 runs from 100 balls including 9 fours and 3 sixes against Australia - A Quality Knock by Marco Jansen.

[tiger_one]

Great knock Bavuma. Love Test cricket!!

Qld beat SA by 6 wickets

Hopefully Australia get off to a good start today

[happy_tiger]

In trouble again 3 for 22

[happy_tiger]

Head has to be moved back to 4 or 5

Need something from Marnus here...

No idea what they do. Maddinson will surely go. Do you "punish" Renshaw by sending him back to the top? Saw that Konstas scored 100, hopefully another good couple of knocks and he will come in for NZ

[Jedi_Tiger]

Head is a far better batsman in australia compared to when he travels

[Buttface]

Sam Konstas on 127 not

[Jedi_Tiger]

what a ripper catch from Markham to remove marnus

Smith and Renshaw need to bat for at least a session and a half to maybe save the Test
