Looks like 2 maybe 3 shield matches before the series against NZ. If you are a top order batter anywhere in Australia you are probably a good 3 innings away from a gig. Guys im looking at are:

McSweeney
Patterson
Weatherald
Hunt

These clowns aren’t serious. They made 3 for 300+ after being 6 down. Their 8 and 9 made 80s and this lot are 4 for 50? Yeah I know one of them is Boland but still. Head is not consistent enough to open, Maddinson is out of his depth, Marnus hasn’t made consistent runs in years…

Konstas ended up 150 not out. Patterson and Davies not many but NSW were chasing quick runs. As noted above, plenty of opportunities for guys who can string some scores together

I seen him about a month ago at a dodgey Indian street vendor, I said Sam jump the queue son you need the runs more than I.

Yep, except Weathers. He’d have to start peeling tons. I’m a big believer of picking in form.
And I’d be leaning towards anyone younger.

Yeah I wasn't sure either , but with the Apartheid rules would non whites have even been allowed in the Stadiums

Totally agree Happy, if we get through the new ball I think we will be ok, crazy playing Norjke after the first test, was never going to back, oh no Head gone

Agreed , Wikipedia says that crowds couldn't mix at major sports like cricket and rugby during Apartheid
