Cricket Season

Anyone watching the 3rd onedayer against NZ. NZ were in a very good position. Around 4 for 140 after 27 overs at one stage but ended up getting bowled out for about 245 runs.

You cant deny the guy is a star and can certainly play, I'm sure in a few years you will certainly be convinced about him.

Those other guys didn't come into the test side with years of international experience behind them like Watson has.

I can and do deny he is a star. He has been a solid performer scoring 50's. Even I will admit by his standards, he has had a very good summer. But his relationship with the media has helped him considerably. Imagine if any other batsman kept failing to convert 50's like he does, they'd be ripped apart.

You can't deny his good work has been blown up into great work by the media.

I thought it was pretty soft as well, but I wouldnt say it is a bad as $BW.
I can see from Clarke's point of view that he wants to support his partner but I mean Lara is a model, in the media a fair bit, and after-all this wouldnt of happened at all if she didnt have this little fling with Brendan Fevola. It probably wouldve died down by now if she didnt sell her story to the media which has just kept things rolling.
 
Sorry but this only came to light after the talentless slapper otherwise known as Bingle signed Max Maksom as a manager. The pictures only came out after she signed him. Than she does an interview with the same publication that played such a large part in bringing her to such shame and embarassment. Ever since Marksom has bee spruking that 7 & 9 would be crazy not to sign her to a 2 year talent deal.

If Clarke is too retarded to see what is actually happening here than he is not fit to captain a primary school debating team, let alone the Australian Cricket Team.

On a side note I almost threw my remote at the TV when this was the lead story on Channel 10 news. Seriously! It's not even real news let alone headline news
 
The situation is a shambles. Don't some people think the whole relationship between Bingle and Clarke was arranged to help change Clarke's 'pansy' image?
 
Wests Tigers should release a statement that they cannot pose for photographs with any professional cricketers because of the recent bad publicity surrounding them

I was at the game yesterday and was pretty hacked of that Clarke wasn't there (even more so when I heard why). Mitchell Johnson got major abuse from the crowd and he took the opportunity to wind the crowd up by kidding that he was going to throw a ball into the crowd, but fair play to him he spent most of the NZ innings signing autographs for the kids. Wasn't too keen on him before but took a step up in my estimations after seeing this, plus the way he handled the stick. Otherwise Australia just to strong for the Kiwis on the night, I'd hoped that it would have been closer!!!
 
I feel sorry for Clarke despite the fact I dont think he shouldve left NZ.
Bingle obviously isnt the smartest cookie around, I mean we all know what happened, her and Fevola had a fling, he took a photo that he shouldnt of taken and it got sent to other people.
I dont understand why she then went to the magazine and all these other media outlets to tell her side of the story, there is no other side of the story imo, we know what happened.
Ohhh wait I know why she told her 'side' of the story… $$$$$

The worst thing Clarkey could've done is leave mid-tournament. Comps against the Kiwis are unfortunately treated as a bit of a joke as it is. The professional option would have been to stay for the ODIs then made himself unavailable for the Test team, which was yet to be named. McGrath did that when his wife had CANCER…

This would also be less of an issue, i.e. not leading the news or on the front of the paper, if the Australian media wasn't so desperate for a Beckham-esque couple they can leech onto.
 
Smith just took 7/64 in the Shield today.

Good timing, the wickets have certainly started to come since he did some work with Warney.

Pressure increases on North who scored 8 and 0 in the recent Shield match for WA.

Thank God for that, now we dont have to hear about em and have em shoved down our throat for many many years.

And also Clarke can now hopefully focus on his cricket more.

Seems like Clarkey flew back to Australia so he could dump Lara.

Personally I can't stand Clarke, just the way he talks, "Michael Clarke does this," "Michael Clarke will do that," it really annoys me (as does anyone talking about themself in the 3rd person), it just screams wanker to me.
