Crowe wants Sheens at Souths

Well unless he has some sort of get out clause in his contract, he will be going nowhere unless the board rubber stamp the deal and I dont think the time is right for a change of coach. We need Sheens to send his troops off on a break and than bring them back and put them through a "mother" of a offseason. On what i have seen this weekend we would have been in the mix but to make the big games you have to win the close games mid season when your down on troops and your getting some crook calls from the refs and that comes with attitude and toughness.

I agree with you as well,
A change of coach for the next year would seem like a step backwards.
We have all seen an improved side this year,
if the boys can't make the finals next year it is definetely time for Sheens to pack up
but if we make the finals Sheens can probably stay.

I'm pretty sure that the articles in the Sunday papers also stated quite clearly that Sheens was not interested in Coaching the Rabbits.
I could stand corrected because i don't pay too much attention in what's written in the papers since they're just tabloid magazines for guys these days (full of crap).
Sheens will stay because the board will have to recognise the team is heading in the right direction and there seems to be momentum for next year and Sheens knows he could be on the cusp of a good or even special team in the next few years.
I think they both need each other and he will stay.

I would expect Sheens to stay regardless of who came in for him. I think we're better placed for a tilt in 2010 than we were perhaps for the past 2 years. Past seasons will tell me not to get too optimistic but when we look at things it's hard to ignore. I think we're well placed to move back on up.

You're closer to the mark than what you and everyone thinks.

I agree, but we've been heading in the right direction since 2004.. won 2005 and just plummetted. But i guess thats in the past and now that morris is gone we can hopefully taste september action once again.

ps. its not a dig at morris, maybe the best utility around.. used incorrectly by sheens.

Do you generally believe every rumour you hear? Sheens isn't going anywhere and I seriously doubt we'll ever see Benji and Lawrence in the red and green.

Good news. Means Folkes will stay with us, providing another coach doesn't get sacked in the near future.
