The Parra club are synonymous with pea-hearts laying down in the tackle for a penalty. Kenny Edwards was the worst. Sivo and Brown have joined him, must be a low feeling to be known as a 'cat'.
This sort of thing is happening far too often in the game these days. Sucks that players get rewarded for it.
That's true but it only works because of dumb dumbs like Packer. That final action of him dropping his body weight on a player is dangerous and stupid.
Agree that Packer's effort was very dumb. Was key in swinging momentum Parra's way.
But Sivo and Brown didn't have any excuse for their pathetic lay-down displays. Brown especially, him jumping up and itching for the next hit-up was laughable. Refs should be able to reverse these decisions in instances like that.
Every single week blokes grab their head and it's an automatic penalty, most times the video ref doesn't even check to see if any contact whatsoever has been made. It's a tactic now. Hate for our team to start making a habit of doing it but if it gets you a penalty-on-demand maybe we should? Can't beat 'em, join 'em.
Your spot one, it's like Scott Prince diving. I'd like a coach to call it out and embarrass the players. If Madge said in the presser how remarkable a healer Brown is then that would embarrass him to think about doing it again.
People in the media as well. A couple of well-respected former hardmen coming out and condemning Brown's actions as pathetic and soft might embarrass him into re-thinking this sort of garbage play. Maybe.
In reality though, if they continue to get rewarded for this sort of peaheartedness, the more prevalent it will become. We'll be on an even keel with the EPL in no time.
