No bueno Ink.

Salt in the wound if they can't repatriate his body, hope a way can be found for his family to farewell him.

Thanks everyone... This is all getting too close now. A workmate at a different site has been showing symptoms and tested this morning... Been off work for a few days and now in isolation until results are back

Just wondering if anyone on here has received the JobKeeper allowance as yet?

@Tigerlily , yes my wife received her first payment last week. Employers don’t get reimbursed from the ATO until 1st May. My understanding is that employers claim on the ATO for payments made to employees?
Have you completed the “JobKeeper Employee Nomination Notice”?

Is that notice for employers or employees?

It’s a form that the employees fill out, from what I understand it gives the employer permission to pass your information onto Centrelink to claim JobKeeper.

100%.

i just filled mine out Friday just gone.

Bogy, it is a form produced by the ATO. It is a declaration by the employee which supports the employers claim. I doubt it has anything to do with CenerLink. Don’t mean to be a kia, but just want to help those who have a real need to know.

**Fair enough, naming the two major schemes in JobSeeker and JobKeeper** certainly won't do anything to clear up confusion either!

Someone needs a good.arse.kicking for that

Yeah, great separation, but either is an improvement on Newstart, especially when your new start expected you to live on about forty bucks a day.

Has anyone on here received a job seeker payment as yet?

Edit; just saw your fresh post above and hope that all is clear, as like me, you are getting toward the worry about the virus age, plus your existing condition.

I'll also let you know that I just checked my super account and the money has come out of my super account so should show up in my bank account soon!

I just want to say that although covid 19 is a terrible virus and many of us want to protect our families and loved ones at a most crucial time of our lives...I would like to point our attention on another part of this pandemic that many forget about because of our need to address this virus..
On the 20th of April, last Monday my brothers partner of 35 years lost her mother at age 94( it wasn't covid relate)…she lived in Sydney...
the very next day 21st April her brother who lived in Armadale also passed away..(cause unknown atm)
My point is that although many people require covid treatment, there are thousands of people requiring specialist hospital treatment such as,heart, kidney ,liver, cancer, mental, back and limb reconstruction and treatments..and the list goes on..
Our hospital staff and surgeons are doing their best and for people to say if you need help with the virus go to a hospital or gp...what about the ones who have been suffering and are waiting patiently for their treatment while others could die just as quickly from this virus..

In my opinion it is a double edged sword..flout the virus restrictions and fill the hospitals with covid 19 cases or do as the health experts say and give the other people a chance to get treatment which they dearly need ..
this is just my opinion as I have seen first hand the despicable acts that people have done because they think this is only a flu and we are overeacting...

Those things are still happening TT...non essential elective surgery is on hold but even that is being looked at returning...

Yes GEO I understand what you have said, but my point is if we flout the virus restrictions it absolutely will over burden our health system when it is easily avoided although a little restrictive atm..but we must all do our part...

Evening all,
Just thought I'd give this thread a little bump, it could definitely just be me and the fact I am feeling the effects of this lockdown but this place is feeling a little less positive atm. When all this started this place was the most positive that I have ever seen it. I'll just apologise if my posts are coming across argumentative, my mental health is just starting to struggle and I can feel it coming out in my words lol.

Anyways apologies to all.

Well for anyone doing it tough, I've just found a few funny clips on Youtube...anyone who remembers the TV show The Comedy Company will remember this classic character...

Most definitely mate, I am pissed at the guys that broke isolation, I really want the footy back on. I just think we all need to be a little kinder to each other at the moment, myself especially as I can feel my stress and other issues making its way into my posting. To the point I'm actually going to post a little less as I can feel people getting sick of my opinion lol.

I'm honestly over caring what the stupid players do.
