@GoldXR50Leroy said:I for one was very disappointed when the Tigers cut him, it's very hard for a white fella like us to understand the Aboriginal psyche and very easy to categorise him as going 'walkabout'.
Sadly he has now been released by the Panthers and hopefully he will be picked up by a club more sympathetic to indigenous players, perhaps being picked up by the Knights with Wayne Bennett coming on board in 2012 would be a good fit, he would be closer just that little bit to home and have a coach that understands players like Daine.
As much as I love our club we don't exactly bend over backwards to help Aboriginal players fit into the system yet we have an over abundance of Polynesian players who have their own way of going walkabout
@Cultured Bogan said:I feel sorry for his young family more than anyone else. Wouldn't be surprised if he just disappears back to Yamba now.
@Sabre said:Being aboriginal shouldnt cone into it. Tigers would select or sack someone based on their race. If we want to be sterotypical then we could say that that has effected his behaviour/drinking and whatever, but thats not the Tigers responsibility, its his, and if he cant control it then we and penrith did the right thing.
I thought he was in France anyway?
