Dale Finucane

Don't think the Club would officially come out and say we are targeting a player…we are not the Raiders...

To many variables until the deal is done....Doesn't stop it being reported on Social or Mainstream Media....it was mentioned in the SMH article that Us along with Cronulla the Storm and Manly had made Finucane an offer...

FFS… it's a rumour, it's going to henerate interest and discussion. It's the off season, anyone whose name gets bandied about in the same sentence as the clubs is going to be talked about.

Get off your high horse Col. If you don't like it, jog the hell on.

this is just something a mate told me who is good friends with a wests tigers employee, he told me that we are well under the salrey cap and that it is JT who does not want to purchase any players, he could not tell me why he was going down this path, but if true he is playing a deadly game, as the fans will turn on him if results go against us next year it is stated we have money to spend.

MELBOURNE Storm has bolstered its forward pack with the signing of Canterbury big man Dale Finucane.

The 23-year-old joins Storm on a three-year deal after 66 games with the Bulldogs, including this year?s NRL grand final.

YOUR NRL TEAM?S BIG QUESTION MARK

Storm was originally on the hunt for a front-rower to replace Bryan Norrie, who retired at the end of last season on medical advice.

But with Jordan McLean improving at a rapid rate and the signing of Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, the club turned its attention to back-rower Finucane.

Storm beat out a number of clubs to sign the bulky Bulldog.

NRL Draw: Remaining sides5:28

?It was a difficult decision to leave the Bulldogs. They?ve been a tremendous club but I?m delighted I can continue my career with Melbourne Storm,? Finucane said.

?It?s a new challenge for me and I?m looking forward to learning more from Craig and meeting my new teammates in the new year.?

Finucane?s signing helps lesson the blow of veteran Ryan Hoffman?s departure to the New Zealand Warriors.

He will battle it out with Kiwi internationals Kevin Proctor and Tohu Harris for a starting spot in the back-row.

Storm coach Craig Bellamy said he was delighted to have Finucane on board.

?After losing Bryan Norrie to retirement, we?ve been on the lookout for a player that can make an immediate impact in the middle,? he said.

?Dale is an ideal replacement and the type of player we like at Storm.

?We actually spoke to him a few years ago about a potential move so I?m glad he?s finally made the decision to join us.?

Who said that we made him any offer?

Not that person Social Media was it?

This site is social media.

Col just cannot seperate twitter and facebook from a message board like Wests Tigers Forum

Another load of crap ( I can separate that from truth ) from the rumour mill that anyone can start. If it is not from the club then forget it

Denouncing rumours is no different to creating rumours or discussing rumours.

Welcome to social media Col….youre a BIG part of it all.

Speak for yourself in regard to turning against Taylor….As far as money to spend uunless better quality players come available then I'm glad they are not wasting it

He has stated he has a plan..

Could be doing what the roosters did.

Where they were paying people's contracts front ended. So I'm coming years they had plenty of money to play with.

They then signed Maloney SBW and Jennings.

Maybe something similar is in the works.

I like what he is doing, if no-one that is better than what we have here currently is available, why bother with them?

I think that I will go curl up in a corner and suck my thumb.

Merry Christmas.

finucane is better than what we have, he is a class player. And we all can say we have plan but we will have to wait and see what that plan is and how long it will take, iam sure i speak for alot of people i dont want to wait for another 3 years before we can have a team that will make the finals. We dont have to buy everyone just some good NRL standard players that can help the kids along or when there contracts are up they will leave like every one else. every one jumped on the potter bang wagon and look where that left us so please dont put all your eggs into the JT basket untill u know what he has in store.

You also can't force a player to sign …if he choses to go with another club...

Anyway better is a matter of opinion...IMO Sue > Finucane

On 2014 form,Finucane is miles ahead of Sue,who by the way has had a bad offseason where he was fined for his part in a night club brawl.
So I hope you are right.

Is fairness there hasn't been anybody too great on the market. We just want signings out of boredom more than anything..

I don't know about that. Rugby league is a game for men and we are going to saddle up with a team of boys. We want some size and experience, but JT might be sacrificing next year to purchase some players and make a go of it in 2016
