Happily give him 3 or 4 years at good coin. He would be so perfect for us, plays lock has ball skills works his ass off every game and is a leader plus an origin level player.

Doubt he joins us though ?

Can't give him good coin until @hobbo1 gives his 'plodder appraisal'. Otherwise we're in for another long 3-4 years.

He loves MCK. His plodder scale doesn’t have much credibility

You’re just butthurt he single handedly won us two games after you continually hacked crap on the bloke ..
And you couldn’t man up and say you were wrong .

Brooks has won games for us too. What’s your point?

Is this a **genuine** "WT interest and had talks" or a clickbait - WT are "always linked to everyone story".....??

My thoughts exactly. 2 clubs have tabled offers yet 3 clubs are named as interested.

He's a more expensive James Tamou.

When will people acknowledge that the Storm/Bellamy systems are unique in that they target and take discards from other clubs and improve them? And so, you pay overs to take them from that system, with very little likelihood they can perform like that again. No, thank you, Finnucane for mine.

Even George Jennings and Reimis Smith have lifted this year.

He'd surely want at least 3+1 at about 600-650k. Hmm, if he was younger definitely. Now I'm not so sure. Definitely a risk, hit we often bail on these types only for them to have another 4-5 good years at The Sharks, Parra etc.

Not sure how much I'd offer. Think if we want a big man playing lock then Tuki is our man. Good ball skills and has his whole career ahead of him.

I know hes quality, probably more then our props but is he not a bit to similar?

Kinda feel we have enough workhorses and need some mongrel and impact.

Exactly. Bellamy is a genius. The best. No contest

I started the cam smith book which starts off 3 or so pages intro with belemy speaking about smith. The stuff he brings up is left field but can tell he is a deep thinker that goes straight to the heart of someone

Good player. Would rather Nathan brown tbh but would certainly make us a better team. Obviously lots depends on price.

Saw on 7 news he's staying at eels

ah bugger thats a shame. would of loved blore and brown going all crazy eyes for us

I’ve been trumpeting this bloke for ages. Move heaven and earth to get him. With his leadership in the forwards and Doohey in the backs I think we’d be a competitive outfit.

With the amount of concussions nowadays, players being rested, id be wary of signing forwards close to 30 on a long term deal. Not to say he's not a great player but would prefer to save the big money for a playmaker and use young forwards like blore that are trying to stamp their name.

Yep 100%. I like our forward pack although I would move Twal for Finucane. But agreed. We have some great youth coming through what with Stefano, Mikaele, Blore, Tuki, Garner. Plus I don’t think Finucan is a 13 these days. He’s probably not mobile enough.

Wow people downvoted you for this. This is the perfect player for us. As tough as they come, from a winning culture and has played SOO. Throw the cheque book at him. Funny how people always find reasons why we shouldn’t chase rep players like we don’t need them or something.

I don't think Finucane is a plodder , but I think his best injury free years might be passing or my have even passed

4 years is a lot for a player like Finucane at 29

That is my thoughts also,it is always high risk signing a veteran forward in arguably the toughest contact sport in the world.Caveat emptor
