Dodgy and bad TV. Compared to the Brownlow it's an embarrassment.

Why do you say this? I’ve never watched Brownlow’s so am just interested

Well whereas the Brownlows are slick, well produced, lean on tradition and build suspense, the Dally Ms are none of those.

The Dally Ms use to be run by the telegraph. The NRL took over a year or two ago and cleaned up a rule of the rules to eliminate bias.

It's still just one voter per game though right? Very subjective. Every game has multiple media and others watching. Poll 5 or 10 of them and get a consensus

I think it is. Should be multiple as you said.

Agree with your other comment re Brownlow. One advantage they have is that votes are secret from game one.

I reckon Brooks can get Dally M, he's second on the leaderboard on 23 points behind Tuivasa-Sheck on 26 points.

Even if the voter is not at the game or watching it.

Voter has to be at the ground. That’s why Ruan Sims was kicked off the panel earlier in the year.

Right on. And the Dally M voting is by one random person. Brownlow is voted by the refs in that game - a much better system.
Dally M's are an absolute farce and completely meaningless.

The biggest issue was that she didn't even watch the game. I'm sure it happens more often. Or at the very least you've got voters who spend large parts of the game in the gents or stuffing their face with free food.

That just means they can cheat from day 1.

Should be transparent from game round 1 to 26.

Didn't she watch it on replay? I thought the rule was it had to be watched live.

That's what the post was referring to.

She resigned and the match was re-scored because she was caught, and her selections were garbage

Don't pay any attention to the Ms. RLPA awards would mean more imo. Being voted best by your peers.

Nofaoluma got voted RLPA Winger last year and peeps blew up..

Brooks would not have troubled the scorers last night. Also with the real chance Cronk might pull the pin after the GF there will be a push to give the golden boy a leg up
