Danger in Newcaslte

I know I'm thinking a little too far ahead for some of you here, but I'm suddenly concerned about this game.

Newcastle have been called pathetic and passionless the last few weeks, especially since their loss to the Titans. They showed some ticker in Brisbane, but tonight they were abysmal, booed off by their own fans.

They have a bye next week and then lady luck shines on us and we are handed the assignment of playing them at Hunter Stadium. The record of teams winning on the back of this kind of pressure is very high, look what Canberra and Parramatta did in the last week.

I'm worried. Not because I think we'll lose, but there is just a cycle of teams coming out of these pressure cookers and winning against the odds.

I woke up thinking exactly the same thing this morning, Bismark! Let's hope we're well and truly ready for it and go out, like Tigergirlz said, and 'smash' em! :stuck_out_tongue:

Like Ink and Helmsey, I'm more worried about the Chooks. They have a lot more to offer across the park than the Jesmond Junkies and are underachieving at the moment.

Nah it's not, but "Newcastle Junkies" doesn't have the same ring to it.

Charlestown Crackheads then? Dudley Dealers?

Roosters are a tough game, they've been playing some decent football recently but just haven't been getting results. I don't believe their record and position on the ladder is a true reflection of how well they've been playing.

Not too concerned to be honest, I think it'll take them a couple more losses before they turn things around.

I prefer Waratah W##kers or Mayfield Methos

Take it one game at a time, Roosters will put up a good fight.

I remember threads popping up in the finals last year where we were all looking ahead to the Melbourne prelim and not really thinking much of the Warriors semi.

All I'll say about the Knights game is we have a reasonable recent record up there and barring any injuries next week, if we play to our ability, it should be enough.

Honestly, they've got nothing. No attack structure (tries are on the back of individual efforts), foward pack lacks desire (probably bar Mason, whose playing like a man possessed) and their defence is starting to leak like a sieve. Irony is, they've regressed even further since questions arose about their commitment.

I think even our early season form would be enough to win us this game.

Canberra put 30+ on them, could've scored more had it not been for a skyrocketing error count and we kept Canberra to 0 and they didn't look like scoring.

Yeah Jazza there was a thread where people were discussing who was going down. Was a pretty cocky attitude and came back to bite us.

Anyway, been thinking of getting the supporter bus up for this game. Anyone have any info on how you can go about getting one?

They say a weeks a long time in footy…two is even longer.
