He's really hit the headlines since we let him go!

Despite being the NSW Cup Player of the year a couple of seasons ago he only played a handful of NRL games for the Tigers, we were however well served for Forward strength at the time but hasn't set the world on fire since.
Which brings me to the question, why did the Tiges go after Ray Kashmir when they were far better off approaching Gower or did Cashmerecoat put the feelers out to the Tigers for a possible NRL comeback, mystery abounds!.

Fair dinkum Ink how can you put Joel Caine in the same category as Aseri Laing?.
Joel Caine was 'almost' a Superstar for the Tigers in 2000 & 2001 while Laing quietly disappeared into the ether after a handful of games for the Storm around the same time.
Joel was the leading pointscorer for the NRL in the Wests Tigers inaugural year and would have been a match winner on the odd occaision if the odd conversion had gone over, Round 1 V the Broncos which resulted in a draw and the highly forgettable unloseable game against the Panthers at Penrith Park.
Those few points cost the Tigers a Semi Final berth in their first year and if the Tigers had done so then it may have saved us from the Shameful Terry Lamb era.
But all this is beside the point, what does David Gower a prop have to do with the notion of 2 long departed wingers have to do with the thread, and don't forget that our mate Joel Caine is now a media Superstar on One HD and the Continuous Call Team on 2GB.
