David Nofoaluma #164

It was a generalisation and loose comparison. I won't get into the debate about whether people charged with serious crimes should be playing NRL. That would be straw maning. Just pointing out that there is a bit of irony in the level of venom and vitriol directed towards Nofa (much of it personal) over the last few pages.
Yep , I can see how there’s irony from certain people as well. But I still don’t see the relevance, despite as a fan when we were linked to lodge I was completely against it .
My issue with Nofa is his ego is writing checks his arse can’t cash anymore . And whilst I think someone with his skill set and experience could be vital to our performance this year , the intangibles say that’s just not going to happen. And the noise around him is all but confirmation he needs to find a new challenge somewhere else .

David is tired of being a wooden spooner.
David is the most experienced and tenured player in the club . David is one of the highest paid wingers in the world . David is considered a leader at this club . David worries about David . David doesn’t drive standards . David sulks when he doesn’t get his own way . David once was a driver of the club culture . David is a huge contributor to the poor culture . David should find a job elsewhere and allow the next generation to drive culture and standards .

David has a job for the next two years.
If the club doesn’t want him, it is up to them to find a solution.
Yep , and his contract should be honoured to its fullest . But much like they do in football overseas , when players become toxic they train away from the rest of the team . Bad apples and spoiling and such .
This has been going on 2 years now , and really started with his winger of the year . I should have been playing origin (he really should have IMO that year) ego boost that seems to have caused him to lose touch with reality. The closeness with Lee hasn’t helped either I suspect . He wants to go , the club wants him to go , I mean it’s really just dollars at this point .
