$685k is bonkers money. He still can’t defend and has issues under the high ball. Surely eels don’t pay that.

If we pay that we don’t deserve to win anything. I think he played to his $450k value this year but not the previous two years.

They wont be paying that...

I reckon 450k is a pretty good income for Noffa. I doubt I'd even engage in a discussion if his manager stated anything about $500k. Just say thanks for letting us know. We will give him heaps of support in his last season with us.

Nearly spat my coffee out ...... 685k for a winger with defensive issues..
He might be a one club player and we have an exception for some salary cap relief i believe but for me 500k MAX.. Plenty of younger ones out there for half the cost. I cannot blame him for trying to get more money while the pot it hot but anything over 500k and I would wish him well

Same thoughts, Jonesy.

I think I’d rather have Nofa than Cotric but the fact he hasn’t been picked for origin means he probably can’t expect the same offer.

I'd be surprised if anyone offered him that sort of money, I'm sure the club would love him to stay but won't be paying that sort of money

Cotric is an origin winger nofo is not so no comparison money wise

Origin or not, I think Nofo is the better winger. Doesn't mean I'd use the Cotric contract as any kind of benchmark - that's an ugly overpay if he's getting $685K per year given he's shown no real game-breaking ability as yet.

Thought Noffa was already meant to be on a more than a fair wedge on his current contract I recall some suggested it was well and truely overs. I would be making him a fair and reasonable offer on that basis he’s already been paid handsomely for a winger, if he chooses to leave so be it, but it won’t by any circumstances be early.

Seeking north of $685k

He is a $450k max player.
If NRL long service with club cap allowance /discount kicks in ($100k?) .... then if and only if his positional defence improves ..... I would reluctantly pay another $50k.
He is a winger for gods sake .... and really they are dime a dozen ..... don’t get me wrong a nice player in attack, loyal clubman .... but he and his manager are kidding themselves.

Club was vulnerable last time David was off contract and Ayoub exploited this. Resulted in an extra yr and more money for David.

Just Sam doing his thing - but the club ain't that desperate this time round.

Cotric on $600k is silly overs.
Mansour is not playing as well as Nofo and is 4 years older. He's rumored to be on $550k + which is way overs - why would we even consider that swap?

If any manager asks $685k for a winger they're kidding themselves and rapidly stroking their client.
I believe Nofo's ceiling is about $525k and hopefully he qualifies for loyalty discount to accommodate some of it. $475K would be value.

What if taking Mansour came with Laurie this year..

I don’t think Nof will be required to do as much grunt work this year with much more size up front. I hope the club have indicated this to him as it may prolong his career and actually increase his earning ability.

Pascoe is having retention and recruitment chat apparently next week, twitter page for the tigers are asking for questions to ask him, anyone see that?

Problem is Mansour wants 3 years...
