David Nofoaluma #164

Thought it would be shorter term, hopefully he’s back soon.

It could of been 6 weeks, going to miss him coming out of our own end lets hope some players step up a level to cover the effort Nofa puts in.

This could be one of those ones where an injury is a blessing in disguise, in terms of testing out fans' theories. Here, if Nofo is truly a nuffie in defence, then we shouldn't be found out down his RHS so much next few weeks.

I recall a similar thing 2014 when Braith was starting 5/8th and we all wanted Blake Austin to be given a run. Didn't happen until Anasta got injured.

They were the days!
Anasta keeping Austin in reserves, Jordan Rankin keeping Ado Carr in reserves and some one else was holding Koro in u20's for too long.

Was hoping those kind of brain dead decisions were a thing of the past.

This is interesting.

I’ll be honest - I often throw things at the TV and scream obscenities at Noffa when we leak points down the right side.

Then I read comments on here about inside players jamming in and leaving the edges exposed and I’m not so sure…..

Now we might be able to settle this bet

Right edge exposed for the Edrick Lee TRY..oh well maybe they can fix it next week or Cotric for a triple double…

At least Rapana won't be lining up on the other side…

It was rather Nofo-like, overhead pass and all.

Personally I think MCK is half the issue there. Put no pressure on Moylan at all, too much plodding.

Whos fault was this try.

There was something that made thompson paranoid and pulled him in the line.

There was comment about obstruction too as reynolds was denied a chance to tackle moylan giving moylan space for the pass

Thoughts??

Well I gave my opinion - MCK. When they wrap the FB you are always 1 short unless your own FB is in the line. Your options are to compress, come up hard or slide. Tigers on this play were compressed: Thommo was equal spacing from all the other defenders.

But Moylan had an age to pick his runner; he even pumped the pass before he threw it. Inside men needed to apply more pressure, not give Sharkies 5 mins to pick out the giraffe on their wing.

I saw it at the time, made my blood boil.

Disappointed the club didnt follow this one up with an official complaint.

IMO Sam Burgess rolling his body over comatose David Nofoaluma's head when getting up from tackle was totally unnecessary.
