David Nofoaluma #164

No he wasn’t given he played first grade for another club. He might not have been contracted by them, but he still played for another first grade side. He does not fall under the one club player category.
Splitting hairs. It’s irrelevant now.

Hopefully a positive for the club. However I find it a bit puzzling why an (un named) player was sent to Nofo's house to do a welfare check ? Nofo said he was suffering from gastro - so surely someone with a bit of medical knowledge should have been sent to do the check ie the club doctor.
IMHO, if they sent the WT's doctor, it could be interpreted either as "we (the WT) care for wellbeing of our players so we sent our hand picked doctor" or "we do not buy your BS anymore"! 🤔

Noffa will be an eel very shortly , wait and see
sad way to go out , but if it don’t fit move it on , I’m happy he got some cash as he was a great player for us over his time , Eels will snap him up. Wait and see

That was my first thought for him to go there, Parra have a history of getting our players to kick stones in order for them to be released.
However this time i don't think this was the kind of release intended, which is purely down to Noffa. Had a listen to the Jimmy Graham pod last night about him, they were struggling to see any suitors for him best they could come up with was Saints and with the big caveat having to deal with an evident attitude problem.

Agreed. It is good that he is gone, but it’s not something to revel in. Almost seems a waste to have played here for a decade, establish yourself as a fan favourite (which he was around 2016/17), become the leading try scorer, then to have the supporter base turn on you. We need more stories like Chris Lawrence.
For more Chris Lawrence stories we need more Chris Lawrence's.

So your sole criteria for determining if a person deserves respect is whether or not they played for us?
Steve I am sure u can read a bit more than that, there more ti the reply than that. But anyway I guess u like potter cause u like a mirror personality. All the best

And for everyone harping on how he played when he came on and how he's our greatest every try scorer and how that must absolutely be respected, do you look back on every failed relationship fondly, or do you look at your exes/old friends based on how those relationships ended?

Doesn't matter if you took an amazing two month European holiday in the first year of a relationship if five years later they've lost interest in the relationship to the point where it's toxic and you're not on speaking terms.

Come on, he played on the end of some crap backlines, how many players score 100 tries, not a lot, and he is the only one for the club to achieve this, and will be for quite some time.
Eric Grothe one of the all time great wingers, played 11 seasons on the end of probably the best backline ever, and scored 78 tries, Jason Nightingale played on the end of some pretty good backlines, won a premiership, played 70 more games than Nofa, and scored 6 more tries, are they both average too
"Lies, damn lies and statistics"!
IMHO, that statistics tells the story of Marshall and Farah !
Most likely, more than 90% of Nafoaluma's tries were the result Marshall's and Farah's assistances! 🤔

Went from a fan favourite to a self obsessed, loser player with a loser mentality that embodied everything wrong with the club in the last few years

Soon as his mates in charge were gone and he was held to a decent standard he had a cry. Not a player we want around at the club anymore. Good on Benji and Richo in continuing to get rid of the rot at the club.

Still will remember a lot of his tries fondly, scored some of the best ever in a Tigers jersey.

Haha. Always happy to discuss differences of opinion. Bit disappointed you felt the need to have a dig at me. Kind of weak and a little hypocritical considering you're so upset by people's views on Noffa.
All good though mate, no drama. Cheers.
