Des Hasler

I hate it how hasler never admits in the post match press conference that the other team was better. he's always blaming the refs

That isn't too much different to how people react on here when we lose half the time.

As I have said in a few threads if by some freak of nature Hasler is coming I hope he brings assistant coach Kelly Egan with him

I said in an earlier thread,Hassler has a good roster that spells success, give Mick Potter a fit, healthy first grade squad and the results could be quite surprising..Potter hasn't been given a decent chance from the start and I find it hard to judge someone with that amount of inhouse interference and roster limitations.Hassler would of walked away early in the debacle..Potter is a gentleman and as for coaching…give him a decent roster and no whiteanting, then we might be a chance of some success..

Doesn't matter how much you say it TrueTiger.
The role of inexperience, injuries and administrative incompetence is either a factor in your judgment of Potter or not.
To me, getting rid of Potter is trying to solve a problem by creating more problems. It's a frightening prospect where we'll be if/when Potter gets the boot.
But then if we don't solve the real problems, and have the same injuries and same internal disruptions, I guess it doesn't matter who the coach is. They'll all fail.

@guyofthetiger,valid points, the common denominators in nearly all the threads is as you say….inhouse incompetence, horrendous injuries,whiteanting,....is the solution an Independant board with backbone to get the job done, monetary injection from wherever,or a combination of things over a period of time.Do we start at admin, coaching or upgrade facilities for training and rehab...
I personally don't know what the Independant board will have to offer but something has to start somewhere to get this club heading in the right direction.I don't want to give up on the club or team I'm very passionate about them,it hurts to see this garbage continue into the future...It has to stop,BUT HOW ? 😛ray:

Don't know the answer to be honest.
But I think questions need to be asked of the S&C team before fingers are pointed at Potter.
Injury prevention strategies are clearly out there.
Not sure if we have the skills, the cash, or the inclination to move past the boys club mentality, to tap into that level of professionalism though.
You'd think 2-3 years of being one of the only teams to burn through both first and second tier caps would be enough of a wake up call.

I can't remember the last time we didn't get a fine for exceeding the 2nd tier cap

That says a hell of a lot
