Who does he need permission off?
The fearless leader Grant Mayer (a man currently in hiding it would seem)
Personally I think its disgracefult the amount of flak Farah has been given. He could have handled it a lot better however there are people at our club probably sitting back looking at our captain getting all this stick and probably smiling.
Bloke has spit blood for a decade plus and been a CONSISTENT high performer. He is not perfect however the place is a circus and i just think he gets really frustrated.
I'm sure I read somewhere Mayer had a death in the family or had a funeral of a family member to attend
If this is true we need to cut him some slack
When I said a week ago that maybe the Tigers are possibly trying to force Robbie out I was looking at it the wrong way
Maybe Robbie is trying to get himself forced out ??
Rob's trying to get himself forced out?
#1 news article comes out suggesting coach is going to be sacked, supporter base is full of accusations all that day towards Farah claiming he's the architect, the leak everything. Tallis then repeats what turns out to be a 15 month old conversation to gather himself some attention, which only heightens the shrieking from some corners towards Farah.
After the game that day, in which we got comfortably beaten. Robbie and Mick turn up to the presser only to be further hounded about the issue, where besides Mick supporting Rob, Farah himself makes it abundantly clear the players support Mick and aren't working against him.
Yet because he doesn't individualise his comments, this is still not good enough for some sections of the shrill supporter base.
The board should have come out and defended their captain, instead these scumbags hide behind the media and fan abuse toward Rob and let him be the scapegoat for something he had nothing to do with, based on 15 month old comments.
2 - The club edits out Farah's comments from the infamous video in support of Mick. Deliberate or not (taking no position on that) it takes days for Mayer to front the media and admit it wasn't the best look towards Rob.
3 - Rob clearly not handling the crisis and media/supporter abuse well, takes off/is given a few days off training to get his head straight. Again, the shrieking and abuse towards him from the media and supporters begin, even though it's not unheard of for players to take a few days off for welfare reasons when needed.
4 - Galloway does the presser post the Storm game, again the media and supporter abuse towards Rob begins. After almost a day of this, Rob himself has to turn to twitter to defend himself against the BS being thrown at him, which shows it was the media guys idea, not his. Not at one point during the day did the club come out and defend him.
To summarise, yes, it's nothing but Rob playing games to try and exit the club. What has gone on has nothing to do with the entire club from the board, down to the supporters treating our club captain absoloutely [This word has been automatically removed]ing disgracefully and disrespectfully. It has nothing to do with any of that, and is all on Rob.
Could he have handled it better? He himself admitted that in hindsight yes he could have, but any suggestions that the club have treated him in any fashion other than awfully is misrepresenting what has actually transpired over the last 3 weeks.
As for the interview, who gives a shit if he got permission. Club officials and supporters don't support him, why should he do them any favours?
