Differences between Tede$co and Proctor...

There is no comparison….It all here folks.....draw you own conclusions....

**Proctor knocks back huge money to stay loyal**
Kevin Proctor gave up over $1 million in a remarkable show of loyalty to remain with the Storm on Tuesday. I have obtained the figures that the big Kiwi back-rower was offered by both the Raiders and Melbourne and they make fascinating reading. The Raiders thought they had Proctor with a massive $770,000 a season that was, frankly, well above his market value. The best the Storm could come up with was $500,000 a season plus a car - and they were resigned to losing the wide-running back-rower. But Storm coach Craig Bellamy spent an hour behind closed doors with Proctor on Monday night, explaining that staying with the Storm - and their three superstars Billy Slater, Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith - would be the best thing for his long-term career. Proctor has played all his football at the Storm, he and his wife are both very settled there, and decided to knock back over a million dollars extra to make the move to the struggling Raiders as a result.

Proctor obviously didn't know about the opportunities in canberra like Teddy did.

I wish Teddy had done the same as Kevin! Unfortunately it wasn't the case, but I don't think Teddy made this decision on his own. Whoever he spoke to to help make his mind up were obviously greedy…

I just hope he pulls a Papalli and decides to stay

Pfffft BS ofcourse Proctor knew it's just that he is loyal to the club that brought him up and Teddy is looking for the contract with the most 0's at the end of it.

That was sarcasm, with Teddy going for"the opportunities" not the money.

Well it shows Proctor actually wants to further his career and has a brain, smart move by him. Pity the fool Tedesco didn't look beyond the bundles of cash, and actually sit down with the Potter and let him explain to him what the future big four, Tedesco, Moses, Brooks and Farah could of possibly held for him and the Tigers in the near future!

Apparently Tede$co did have that chat…with his trusted mates in Anasta, Marshall and Moltzen!

Good line. I wonder if Proctor didn't have to get a pay downgrade to $300k+ in the first year of his contract though.

Because Proctor would rather run off Slater, Cronk and Smith instead of Campese, McCrone and Buttris. Our Austin/Moses, Brooks and Farah combo looks pretty average next to the Raiders spine… Fair dinkum

players are human, and like all humans, we all make decisions, some good, some not.

regardless of how we feel, a decision has been made by James Tedesco, and he made it believing it is the best one suited for him.

we are going to have to wait to see who benefits better, Teddy or Proctor, with on field performances and finals appearance.

I cant believe that people are upset that Tedesco took a massive offer and are treating his actions on par with those of Roger Rogerson.
The offer Canberra through at Tedesco was insane, it was a life changing difference in pay, you cant begrudge someone for taking it.

I was reminded on the radio of Arko's comments to Bozo when offered the big cash at the Roosters in the 1970's, told him to take the cash and enjoy a comfortable life.

i received the actual figures offered today by both canberra and tigers.
they are on work email so i'll have to post tmw.

That's so nice of you to post private and confidential information on a public forum.

Just some facts for you.
The Tedesco's are not poor and James doesn't come from a housing commission home raised by a single mum.
James has his reasons just like anyone else who changes jobs…they don't always change for the money.

Why people can't respect his own personal decision is beyond me.

The reaction of so called fans is quite disgusting. Bigger names than Tedesco have changed clubs without half the shit this guy has received.

Move on Get over it.

Irvine, appreciate you are a mate of his, but you missed a most important point in your post….

We are peeved because Tede$co has strung along the club, fans and sponsors for 3 months with BS and rhetoric, then he publicly goes on record yesterday to say its not because of the money he's leaving but he sees a better future for him at the Raiders...if that was the case he should not have stated he wanted to stay WT and play with his mates...etc... then there is Today article where he is quoted stating he took advice from the likes of Anasta, Motlzen and Marshall...they would be the last 3 players he should be seeking advice from IF he wanted to STAY...why didn't he seek counsel from Farah (his captain), Woods, Brooks (his friend) and Potter (his coach)...see my point!!...this is why your mate is rightly coping a hiding on this forum...he has treated us with contempt

I hope the extra $150K a year makes up for not owning a premiership ring. There's no way he'll get one of those at Canberra and I'm pretty sure money can't buy one…

You really shouldn't believe everything you read in the newspaper….I know the newspaper had a story about Benji and golf..I already posted he was playing golf on that day well before it was in the paper.

Farah knows all the details...as do his team mates.

I can see there is no point in saying anything..You don't know the guy and you don't know exactly what happened or what his circumstances are.

Played golf with anastasia and co discussed contract, signed with raiders
Anastasia to finish career in nsw cup
Let tedesco finish year in firsts with Robbie and brooks to show him what he's missed out on he may even try and to timid moltz
