Its good for the game…the Origin at NSO a few months back was awesome, I coaught a bit of todays game...it wasnt bad and if women wanna play they should be afforded the opportunity

No argument about that.
Just my read on the concept.
But yes by all means not saying we should not allow women the right to play the game.
Just can’t watch it.

Fair enough

what I like about the women's game is that is it usually only 2 players involved in a tackle, so less messy, dangerous and is quicker

Wests Tigers have today announced the club will launch its inaugural senior women's team in the 2019 Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership.

The team, which will compete under the name of Wests Tigers, continues a clear pathway for Wests Tigers female rugby league players from the Lisa Fiaola (U/16's) and Tarsha Gale (U/18's) teams currently in existence, with the overall aim of a Wests Tigers team in the NRL Holden Women's Premiership in the coming years.

Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe said the establishment of the club's inaugural senior women's team was an important and exciting step forward for the club.

"We're delighted to launch our inaugural team in the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership for the coming season," said Pascoe. "As a club, we strive to incorporate women in all aspects of the Wests Tigers DNA and this is another part of that.

"The launch of this team provides us with a number of exciting opportunities with new partners and players arriving to the club, but crucially, it also allows us to continue to grow women's rugby league throughout our catchment area and give our local juniors a senior team they can call their own and aspire to play for in the years to come."

Wests Tigers have a number of players signed for the 2019 season and are still currently in the recruitment phase of the program.

The club is continuing to look for players and staff who are keen to join the team in 2019 and will be holding an Information Night at Concord Oval on Tuesday, December 18 at 6:00pm for those interested in more information.
