Do they want to win?

Teams make mistakes, miss tackles, drop balls etc... BUT

- no desperation in attack or defence
- no fight in the tackle
- lack of support runs
- lack of support for good runs

I'm talking about the entire team, not just one player. Being outclassed sucks, but seeing teams out enthuse you every week sucks too.

We are just filling numbers in the NRL

I’m at the game and you can just see a compete lack of urgency in defence Daine Laurie and jimmy the jet always put the effort on when dce scored nofo just jogged to try and get him if he actually ran he could have stopped him so annoying to watch

Huh? Were good for 30 minutes of first half which is when this was posted. Pretty clear we're a relatively young team in the forwards lacking a game breaker in the backs and our halves are league average at this point. We knew this before the game and those deficiencies have been the difference so far.

I don't think you can question their desire but they seem to not be fit enough to sustain in the grind for more than 20 minutes.

Also thought Garner could have got a run at some point.

I said when they were walking out Mbye , Nofa just didn't look ready to play ....

Your playing Manly ...Tommy hated Manly ...perfect chance to show him what we really thought of him after the Cows debacle

And yet here we are again ......

We play as individuals & look unfit.
We don’t play as a team.
We don’t run together, support each other, tackle with hunger.

Some weak and poor efforts in defense today cost us massively. Musgrove & AD effort just shocking.

We never back it up never.
We are just a false hope team.

Don't know how we are unfit. That's one thing we should be better at.

Just think the players are lazy. It makes sense why we don't have any rep quality players. Too lazy.

They aren't unfit, they can't be. Just playing with no belief.

No game plan, no structure. This team has the ability to make any opposition look like the Chicago Bulls in the mid 90s.

If this coach manages to stay till the end on the season I'll eat my shoe.

I doubt every single player's motivation to be playing here.

This is a team of misfits, rejects and fringe first graders trying to prove that they belong in the top grade. Their motivation is to move to a better club and not win games at this club.

All that stuff is built around consistency and combinations. We have been trying to 'moneyball' the WT for the last 10 years. It doesn't work.

It's not complicated. We run 1 out every week. We don't get deep in the backs. We through passes to players at the line giving them no space. Don't tell me you need years to teach first graders how to by-pass a player.

We play 4 front rowers in the forward pack the wonder why a fullback splits 2 of them when they're defending further away from the ruck. This is so frustrating to watch.

Most of our players play like they are happy just to be there.
Some weeks we have a handful of players go well, whilst their team mates have shockers.
Then the next week a different handful have a go while others don’t.
Then we get the odd week where no one has a go.
At the end of the day we have zero pride in the jersey and have zero investment in winning first grade matches.

The truth is that we now know that Madge can't coach this team to any success.
As much as I hate the bloke, Cleary had an inferior team and had them playing decent footy.
We're now stuck with a coach that can't coach a win.

The future is very bleak . No matter who we buy they're coming into Madge's system. All hope is lost

There is clauses in madges contract they could activate if they think he has lost the dressing room
But really who do we employ next?

Today's game pretty much sums up our year.
I feel quite sad thinking we are stuck with players consistently letting the team down. No one's willing to take ownership and there's no apparent leadership.
Can't understand the coaching (gameplan). Or how certain players are being used - we have a specialist centre on the wing with a second rower playing in the centres - whilst who he replaced looks to building form. A utility playing that's unwanted by the club. A great running second rower on the bench and a lazy young forward who can't even dent the line.
Then looking at ALL reports from KoE there's a team of keen and hungry players giving their everything. There's even a sharp or zippy hooker who probably just needed a spell - or some help with the role -playing there.
There's all these holes in the team which are being exposed at a scary rate.

Also thought Garner could have got a run at some point.

Garner was there and he was as good as any of our players. I don't believe it's desire at all.

You have it 100% correct but we also aren't playing to our ability.

Garner and Seyfarth gave me a tiny bit of hope right at the end. They looked angry and frustrated, almost as if... (can't believe I am saying this).. they cared?

Two players who actually put some effort in today. I wouldn't have stayed on the field at fulltime, straight up the tunnel and into the car.
