Do we walk away from Musgrove signing?

Easy answer is souths would have grounds to terminate his old contract if musgrove found of any wrong doing. Tigers seem pretty keen on him though if found innocent.

I think we really needed him in our last game.

Cause he allegedly punched a Cabbie..who hasn't wanted to do it..
 
Seems very obvious. Not sure why anyone would be confused by this.

If he's innocent we re-sign him. Possibly re-negotiating his contract to slightly back ending or reducing it so we can fit under the cap this year,

If he's guilty we drop him. He's uncontracted but it wouldn't matter as he'd be seeing the back of a prison cell. Souths will have nothing to do with him whatsoever. In the future he'd possibly only have a chance in the UK or rugby overseas somewhere.

If his case isn't resolved by June 30 we obviously leave him for this season, re-address him when his case is heard. Due to cap penalty we'd probably promote one of our juniors like Talau or Madden.

If the Musgrove issue isn't resolved by June 30 the Dev Boys are automatically eligible to play NRL under the new rules.
 
They are, but they're still outside the top 30 and cap. If we needed to save on cash it would be much easier and probably cheaper for player 30 to be an internal promotion of a young gun than find someone from outside willing to join us on minimum wage.

Our development boys may be requiring upgrades soon too. There's sure to be a lot of clubs looking at them over the coming year or two. We need to look them up! Also Cini isn't a development player til 2020 so if he was pushing for first grade he'd need to be promoted. (and he's exactly the type of player we're missing in first grade - just depends what his defense is like)
 
I think tomorrow is the court date for both if memory serves me correctly
 
i doubt we can sign him now after signing jennings, remember we are not the sharks. CANT WAIT TO SEE WHO THEY SHED. will be the bloke who peels the oranges maybe.
