Do you believe in karma?

Since what has happened with the magpies, it has had a big affect on BRET and the WT.

Although the nsw cup debacle is an issue for WT, this week we must embrace and celebrate the wests magpies with this weeks heritage match

Debate for the off season. It may become reality in 2013\. As mentioned, not the week for ignoring half the heritage of WT.

nobodys ignoring it at all but im not going to be doing and handstands over it.Im over all this ….the heritage rounds next year should be the original wests tiger jumpers or something...i think its time

R1 Lui - beat sharks - thank refs
R2 Molten saga - dragons loss
R3 Gibbs & Fifita - manly loss
R4 Ryan, Fulton & Heighington - raiders loss
R5 Premiership favorites - ???????
R6 Magpies - ????????
R7 Blair - ????????
R8 Teddy - ???????
R9 Brown - ???????
R10 can't sign anyone - ?????????

BUT THERE'S HOPE

By the look of things if we don't keep adding to it, Round 11 we should be back on track.

Why throw away 200 years of combined history and tradition of 2 foundation clubs for 2 games a year? Other clubs and fans enjoy celebrating and cherishing history (think of souths) doesn't hurt the club one bit. Only makes it richer in its existence.

Why live in the past?

I think drawing a division between the "Wests" and the "Tigers" DOES hurt the club. There's a reason that the two clubs merged - they were no longer viable in the environment they inhabit. There's a reason that "Wests" and "Tigers" were selected as the best parts of the two clubs.

"Balmain" is a small suburb, populated heavily with advertising executives who couldn't give a toss about rugby league and whose children are too precious to play.

"Wests" is boundless. When whitey arrived here (in places like Balmain) he headed west to where the fertile plains were and started this modern incarnation of Australia. If you keep heading west you'll eventually circle the world.

"Magpie" is a smallish bird, which despite theories of extreme intelligence, draws neither fear nor inspiration from humanity. They are common and plain. In addition, the Collingwood Magpies are amongst the top ten most profitable sporting teams in the world.

"Tiger" is a sleek, jungle killing beast. It is graceful and ruthlessly predatory. The tiger is on the verge of extinction because it has been hunted down for the beauty of its skin, and the rumour that eating its penis revivifies a flaccid sex drive in men.

Now lets just say you had to create a new team, a business no less, and you wanted to attract the most interest with the view to establishing a dominant sports club and a distinctive and powerful brand. Would you choose "Balmain Magpies" or "Wests Tigers", considering these are the two options??

Now there is a great relevance to preserving some traditions. Tradition for tradition's sake is not good enough. There has to be some advantage to people in the present and future else its a tradition that should have died.

In this case, it is my firm belief that playing a quarter of the home games at Campbelltown, a quarter at Leichhardt, naming the team the Wests Tigers and combining the common colour of black with the white of Wests and the orange of Balmain is perfect. These are all traditions that continue to serve well.

Personally I think they should get rid of that magpie on the jersey. It causes rifts and delusions and it was only put there as a dummy for Magpies supporters, who now spit it when they feel threatened. Sorry but Balmain and the Magpies are dead. Its the Wests Tigers, and we should be celebrating new life rather than mourning death.

Perhaps the karma alluded to is that disharmonious fans deserve a disharmonious team. We should play in the Wests Tigers jersey on heritage round.

Otherwise the teams can split, and Balmain can become the Meriton Tigers and the Magpies can become a feeder club for Easts.

Isn't one reason for the JV the legacy of both teams living on?

WT is not the magpie nor is it balmain

The heritage rounds represents the history behind WT. it doesn't mean we become magpies or balmain.

Hundreds of wt fans still wear philips and victa retro jerseys… Should that stop also?

Past players (still alive) from both clubs be ignored and forgotten?

Playing at leichhardt oval cease because its not up to standards?

Pretend the club was just made out of nothing at the end of 1999?

WT is a joint venture company not a merged football club. 50% balmain 50% wests group

WT was created by both parties to ensure two foundation clubs 'live on' in the greatest game of all.

I think the WT achieved the impossible this week, by calming many of us down. By signing Braithe Anasta wether you like him or hate him it stopped all the crap we dish out. I see the tide turning. Karma has bought us calm. Even if we don't win tommorrow, we'll be all on the same page again. Watch out. And a message to bigdamo. No more back chat, or you're off to the bin. hehehehehehehe

Youve clearly never had a psychotic mummy magpie nesting near your house in September, Trumper
Vicious bastards

I think the only Karma we are paying for is getting rid of 2 good forwards and club men and replacing them with an overrated over paid Teddy bear( The Care Blair)!!!!
