Does Farah come in?

Because in any business to try to minimise your losses?

Farah will still get every cent, it is only dependent on how much another club is willing to cover. I'm sick of this bloody line being trotted out every third post. The club cannot financially disadvantage him. They have a contract of which he, at a minimum must receive payments between his new club and WT totalling what he has signed for. If not, he has a legal case to recoup it.

Any suggestion otherwise is idiocy.

I honestly don't understand why people care so much about another person's money, especially when the other person has been paid a bucket load over the course of his career. I don't care as much about my own money as some people on here seem to care about Farah's money…

Oh look, if the club were out to defraud him they should be lambasted but they've maintained he will be paid what he's owed.

The players do look after themselves, don't worry about that.

They don't want to be at a club anymore they just cite compassionate grounds and go. People want clubs to be held to the lofty standards but don't bat an eyelid at player movements.

I can see where you are coming from BUT. By back-ending he may have missed out on special investment opportunities, for e.g., the Sydney property market that most young of his ethnic origin get into in has leap frogged over past few years. And now because of that same end-loading to free up their cap they want to off load him from his dedicated club and 250 games. If he didn't rate the highest tackle count every week, if his terrific little grubber kicks went haywire etc. I could tolerate pushing him out but he has kept good form and fitness. He stood up to Watts and gave him a thrashing. He tells the refs. He still scores tries. He ticks all boxes.

It could be finished in 24 hrs if they weren't trying to squirm out of part of it.

You're right. Farah could ask for a release today, Wests pays him out for this season and Farah quickly gets a 2017 contract with another NRL club for $900k.

It's a simple equation…..oh wait, it isn't.....

What Farah does is his business, it is a simple equation
If they don't want him pay him out
He's not asking for a release its WTs who want to renege on his contract, not Farah
Either pay him or risk paying just under a million for the SoO. Hooker to play reserves( as he is)
As a club we already look stupid enough

What does his ancestry have to do with anything?

Unless he had a gun put to his head and was forced to defer payments I have no sympathy. It takes two parties to agree to a contract.

GCT, you act like the club trying to offload him to another club to ease cap pressure is a foreign concept. You demanding that our club should be forced to pay what they owe him instead of offering him to other clubs is really just a disguise. The truth is you're insulted that the club had the nerve to tell him they don't need him anymore.

I'm not insulted at all,
Whether it happens elsewhere, is'nt the point
it only does because some players fold at the first hint of being shafted
Clubs have no right to try and get rid of anyone unless they agree,
Farah didn't agree.
I Hope that he does stay, whether it's in the reserves or not. Let the public see just what a dumb club that we are,
Paying close to a million to the second best hooker in the game ( coming off our salary cap ), to play reserve grade .
and playing our first grade without a hooker Just Dumb

Maybe they might see Farah as the dumb one for not taking the hint. What other Origin player would languish in reserves instead of getting on with their career and go elsewhere.

But does that justify the treatment directed towards RF?

Here is an interesting article about Rod Reddy which mentions his loyalty to JT and that he did not see his sacking coming. Also he describes the club as a rabble and makes comment about Kidwell partying with RF in Bali! In all of this, one thing that cannot be questioned is RF’s loyalty to the club. Can the same be said for JT and his loyalty towards his staff?

Seems apt...

 Sportal is one rung below the daily telegraph in journalism.

In regard to the treatment of Farah, to go around in circles again, prior to Ayoub going to the media in the very first instance the only stupid move the club made was threaten to play him in reggies as part of the negotiation process.

Honestly, if you went and slated your place of employment for all to hear, do you honestly think they'd maintain your employment, irrespective of how good you are?

It's only been played out in the media because Farah wanted it that way. No sympathy.

Pretty much … doesn't matter how old they are

It also doesn't matter that the lurker's accuracy is dreadful , hence why he doesn't actually put his name to anything he/she writes .

I strongly doubt it. I'd bet that most of us on here would take the money as a great super present. Particularly as we wouldn't have to put up with the DHead coach with the First grade team .

Actually , if Taylor calls Robbie up to firsts, he may get a visit from the reserves Coach to give him another Faulogo treatment , for taking away the best ticket to the semis that he's ever had.

Yeah, i'n sure he will :unamused:

It seems to be personal with you and JT. I don't think even Farah hates him as much as some of you lot

Oh my god. The lurker and sportal used to build credibility for an discussion. Im not accepting anything until I hear it from Rothfield or Wiedler.

Of course im joking….

I have spoken to a lot of people from various walks of life and who follow different clubs. Some say that Farah should stay, but the majority agree with the stance taken by Taylor and the club. The coach has the final say on team selections, like it or not. If Farah had any pride he would be off. I believe he has already signed with Souths so why all the fuss?
