With all due respect to Happy Tiger, it comes across to me that most QLDers live for beating NSW folk at something/anything whatever they can get there hands on…. Union, Rugby League, Marbles, Cricket, Extreme Ironing, you name it and QLDers will try to make a SOO out of it.... :astonished:

NSW folk? Meh, most of us don't really care. We already know where our bread is buttered, and look at the bigger picture of things like national selection where we generally dominate most sports on an international level... :mrgreen:

I was there, was a great game despite the result, but they really need to fix the penalty goal rule, reduce it to 2pts or something, QLD kicked 6 of them, so they had 18 points before even scoring a try, thats just stupid.

I remember a game last season as well where the Brumbies scored 4 tries to 1 and still lost. Dumb.

I'm with Underdog as well…. No bias Happy! :smiley: NSW is the breeding ground of Aus cricket, the Reds may have won but they needed an NSW coach and some luck. In the A-League Central Coast is on top and Sydney FC beat Brisbane not long ago. In the NBL Brisbane can't even afford a team. :wink:

Not to mention we hosted the best Olympics ever where as Brisbane could only host the Commonwealth games :wink:

And those Olympics you held Which state won the most Gold and Individual medals UMMMM let me think about it for a second Oh thats right QLD If you want your kids to turn into sporting champions just send them up to me and Watto and we'll turn them into champions of the future

Sydney FC have won more A-League grand finals.

In GayFL the Lions finished 3rd bottom with the Gold Coast finishing last, the Lions havent made the finals in 8 seasons, Sydney have made finals all but once in the last 10 years. QLD only have 1 player in the Aus side and that player is from NSW (A bit like the QLD SOO side stealing our players :stuck_out_tongue🙂, therefore they have been at full strength all season where as NSW has had to field a 2nd string side all season… Like every season :wink:

We got the Moto GP champ, Mark Webber as well and I'm sure a whole lot of others!

Very unlikely we will beat England at the Olympics… Or should I say Great Britain so they can combine their countries to get more medals!
England have been pouring in the $$$ for their athletes at these games, I think only the US and China may beat them. On the other hand our funding has slowed and we will be lucky to make the top 5.
It seems like things are going similar to when Melbourne hosted the 1956 games, at the time we had our best Olympics ever there but over the next 20 years medals gradually dried up until it got to the stage where we won no gold medals in 1976 at montreal. Hopefully we don't get to that in the coming 10-20 years.
