Rugby league journalism really needs to up its game. People are no longer interested in these fluff articles which serve no purpose other than to fill space. Also, nowhere in the article is Doueihi even quoted saying the words written in the title.

SO TRUE.

The whole team had one of those games, I’ve seen it a million times before, don’t do anything all game and try win it with 5 minutes left and score points then. . Those three were still our best players but it was a vintage tigers performance

It came because they had come off games against Penrith and Parra and they were mentally /physically shot

Grant should of been rested ...and seeing madge couldn't see that our season is cooked

I agree with Josh, you are making a whole heap of assumptions off one match.

Yeah Tigers looked fatigued against Warriors, any number of reasons for that, and one of the obvious reasons was the big match against Parra the week prior. Parra themselves battled against the Dogs the following week.

Tigers looked fine in terms of fitness against Parra and obviously ran riot against Broncos.

I refuse to believe that a team that can almost match Parra for 80 mins in 2020, and in fact finish the stronger / faster side in chasing points, is some how suddenly over-coached or over-trained because they then have a poor match.

So is Madge admitting his training methods of the past are wrong ??? Again??? as he said he had learnt from his time at the Bunnies after he had signed with us ???

The players have said they’re still training at very high intensity, it’s not really ‘relaxed training’ despite what the headline says, sounds like they’re just trying to have a little more time off and make better use of their breaks when they can

Less meetings ......Madge and his Uncle Brian Smith are known to have more meetings than the AJC

Again you could see the players looked mentally and physically drained the week before the Warriors games ..but the coach took 2 more weeks to notice it ...one injury cost us the one player who may have got us to the semis ......

All the other big teams can handle the training. Boys just didn’t show up on the field, every single week they all talk about how good training is but it’s not showing up on the field, it’s more mental than anything, hence ‘less meetings’.

No not all the coaches ..they manage the loads better ...The Storm and Roosters lessen the load and then ramp it up again with about 6-8 weeks left ...funnily enough most rugby league clubs train players like Olympic swimmers .....hard off season lighten off before trials ramp up big before the Olympics and then back off again just before Olympics

Plenty of players have said it’s no tougher than any other club they’ve been at. It’s no excuse, the players went out there and didn’t have a dig that’s on them.

It is different ....must clubs now are ramping up their training loads ...madge is lightening up the load now

Tell me I was wrong ...we looked cooked v the Warriors

We’ve had games like that for the last 10 years, rock up against teams we should beat and don’t look like we’re even trying. No matter what coach we’ve had that’s happened.

Again, training isn’t any less intense, they’re training just as much at a high intensity, just trying to make better use of their off time and if there’s a longer turnaround between games have one session that’s a little relaxed. No major different to actual training

So Aloiai , Grant ,Lucy , didn't have their worst games of the season v teh Warriors because they were gone

The whole team had one of those games, I’ve seen it a million times before, don’t do anything all game and try win it with 5 minutes left and score points then. . Those three were still our best players but it was a vintage tigers performance

Grant still played better than his ? replacement, whoever it would've been.

And busted himself up ......was it worth it with the run we had coming up

You can get injured in any game of footy... you don’t rest players against weaker teams because you’ve got harder games coming up, that’s the opposite type of mentality we’re trying to build

Yet Melbourne rested players v the Dogs ...Munster said if had of been a semi Smith would have played ...Roosters have rested Flanagan and Cordner ...Koraisai (despite somone saying he'd be out for 6 weeks ) rested ....the best sides do it ....

Flanagan was dropped, Cordner has big head issues.

If it was a GF both would have played .....yeah ??

What a dud article maybe AD should concentrate on his positional play than talking to the Media.
We all know he is not a long term fullback option but a 5/8.
Relaxed is not what the supporters were with 10 mins left.
