Needs to improve fitness and positioning. Everything else about his game is promising.

What makes you think he’s unfit? He did more than anyone in our team against Canberra

He’s not unfit . He’s 21. He’s not going to reach his physical peak for another 4 years . Also in these years he will learn how better to pace himself, that only comes with experience.

He’s he’s a kid, he looks and seems a lot older but 21 is super young for a footy player

He improves his positional play at the back and he could be a real asset. If he doesn't I'd still mark him as our long term 6 and chase a quality fullback.

I see him as a 6 as well .....your fullback with the current rules needs to sit around the middle of ruck like a bad smell waiting for any 2nd phase ....Douehi does not seem to do that ...but then again I'd say the same for Brooks as well

Mate , there’s a reason the best fullbacks are supreme athletes . I remember there was a rexona battle of the codes fitness challenge like 10 years ago on channel 9 . It had Billy Slater , Delidio ( Richmond tigers player) , that redhead pole vaulter, I think John steffenson , some soccer player etc. Slater lapped the field . He was almost as aerobic fit as Delidio and the best track athletes , but absolutely destroyed them at anything requiring explosive repetition or strength.
I always remember that when I watched him, and now Tedesco , run around . Doueihi to me on Saturday , played amazing , but he looked tired a few times he made a half break . When he gets fitter and grows into his body , he is going to go alright I reckon . He’s still 21. I can’t wait to see what he looks like at 25. And he looks to be Tigers through and through

I wasn't questioning his involvement ...just he seems to prefer playing off the back of a 2nd man play

You don't see him sniffing around the ruck like Tedesco ,Papenhuyzen etc

Not sure if he’s the long term fullback though. I’d be grooming him for 6 and seeing whose out there as a 1. Have to get it right this time. Since Tedesco, we’ve signed 3 replacements we hailed as his successor.

Can tell you what is out there ...Zilch.

Unless you can snatch some one that will still be under contract...not an easy task if they are coming to us.

Much better to keep AD at FB, who will be very good for us and try and entice a half or 5/8.

Could we make a play for tedesco and put AD to 6

In your wildest dreams do you actually think Tedesco would return to us?

More chance of winning Lotto, ten times in a row.

Would love it. But his dad has come out with some pretty strong words that Ted would be silly to leave the roosters.

That said, the guy has pretty much-achieved everything in the game, but off the back of ideal conditions. Maybe he might want to make himself truly great and help his junior club to reach new heights

We should get that guy Webhe on the payroll unoffiically. All our ex players loved that bloke, it's blokes like that that the elite players listen to.

I thought we tried that when JT or Potter was in charge?

I’d like to see him work on his support play around the middle of the ruck more. I noticed he would stand behind Grant talking a fair bit, but seemed to drift back into the line and not back up. Definitely a part of his game as a fullback that could improve. With the new rules the middle of the field is going to become a dream for little blokes around tired forwards.

You look at Tedesco and he is around the ball on every play as an option.

Been surprised by doueihi's speed. Has that easy running style but definitely not slow and threatens the line with changes of direction, a little fittleresque. Also is strong returning the ball usually pushing through the tackle and has threatened a few times with half breaks. He looks composed under the high ball and has made intelligent decisions in positioning and defense. Can't really see any downside yet, wasn't excited about his signing but he's been quality. Only thing that looks weak is his passing game, not bad but doesn't look sharp when keeping the ball moving.

Not only would I love to see AD get more involved .. but we need to get big BJ Leilua involved .. whats the use of having him if we dont use him .. !! Infact we need to get our whole backline involved more .. would love to see them spread it wide quickly and even have a tricky backline move or two in there .. !!

Feel like he's been going well, clearly improving every game. By the end of the year he could be our best player (although not like that's saying much).

I think you're right. We seriously need someone like that though, so much of footy is in the mind these days, confidence and all that. We probably do have someone though, we'd be mad not to.

I don't necessarily think he's unfit. Someone else said it better, that he needs to learn to pace himself. All of the gun fullbacks make themselves feel like they are everywhere on defence. It makes kickers feel chlostrophobic, that there is no space.

Agree with both your comments. The only thing that worries me, was once we use to pay these players $150k to learn their trade rather than $500k.
