Dragons eye Moltzen as Tigers exodus continues

wonder of they got their info from this site, we will know they do when they "confirm" the Slater/Cronk package deal

I wonder if Westtigersforum counts as a "source close to the club"

Of course they did,

I even predicted that this article would pop up on Friday after the Origin coverage finished.

Dugan article on the weekend or Monday….

ive got no quarms with releasing lui heigno mckinnon fulton brown and ryan, but IMO letting moltzen go is going to be a terrible mistake. Knee injuries take a while to recover from…Benji as a prime example...Moltzen is a gun player being played out of position.

Having said that miller looks the goods but worst case scenarion is us being left with no half pairing for benji next year miller isnt contracted lui wants out and are supposedly wanting to release moltz?

Perfect fit for Moltzen at the Dragons… Hornby is getting on, Boyd is leaving, Fien is usualy injured and Gasnier will start to slow down also...

Tim behind some Props who go forward will possibly the catalyst to reignite some of his past form.

Timmy Choo Shoes Moltzen becomes the Dragqueen :roll

Jimmy Choo Shoes, Watto…

Moltz is too good to play off the bench, I wish him the best.

I will miss Heighno and Moltz if the do actually move clubs.

 Im aware who Jimmy is 117

Thats my name for Timmy when he plays Fullback… Always standing on his heels!!!

Does anyone remember the form Moltzen was in before he got injured? I cannot believe he is not the starting halfback for our side. Initially I thought Sheens did not want to rush him back from serious injury. But I am very worried hearing the news of his departure.

I predict if he gets a start at half for the Dragons or any other team for that matter. Moltzen will prove that letting him go will be a very regrettable decision.

At the end of the day, 90% of players who get a run at this level can play… We have seen some great efforts from Moltzen in his time with us, none more than his exciting running game. The challenge to all NRL Franchises is to make the right and wrong decisions on who stays and who goes. The final decision for a contracted player to leave mid-contract is ultimately theirs, and for whatever reason, Tim must feel this move is the best thing for his NRL future...

Seems even Shakespeare foretold of Tigers 2011 season in the opening line of Richard III to quote "Now is the winter of our discontent".

your only prospects are to be professional bench warmer for the rest of the contract, do you blame any player for moving on ?

or you can choose to work hard, be professional, and apply your trade in Reserve Grade until the coach can no longer ignore your brilliance?

I think this is a real problem with some of todays players… They read thier own press, listen to the hype and 'think' they should be playing in the top grade!

Just came up on sports news first twitter feed that the dragons have announced that they have signed moltz for 3 years.

confirmed

Good luck to him. Not sure where they will play him, but hopefully for their sake it is not fullback.

For mine he would be best at five-eighth, alongside an organising, creative halfback.
