Dragons v Cows (Spoilers)

Firstly, watching those Dragons forwards makes me depressed. They would absolutely blow our powders off the field. If woods think he is worth anything near a million then he needs to see De Ballin play because he is 5x the player he is.

Gareth Widdop would be an asset to our side, but it worries me that he is playing behind such a good pack. If we are going to see any halfback succeed, we need to beef up our pack first.

Agree the dragons forwards are dominating.

Widdop cant do much wrong at the moment he is getting a hand in everything. Would be a huge signing if we can add some fire to our forward pack.

No fox here so checking updates… Have saints in a multi... Was 28-4 now 28-22
Whats going on?

The old saying of "it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog" applies though. In '05 our halves shone behind a pack that was neither overly praised or particularly big…..but they played tough and as a great unit and conquered a fair few heralded opposition packs along the way.
Agree that it would be handy to have a few bohemoths ala Junior Paulo but a solid, united group would be more than adequate to get the desired results. Especially these days of smaller number of interchanges.
Mongrel trumps size more often than not, unfortunately we don't have of either commodity at the moment.

If we need a 5/8 then give the money to John Asiata - he was brilliant in the halves for the COwboys and at 110kg could be anything as he has been wasteed as a bench forward
