Canterbury have snared a major prize after luring Dallin Watene-Zelezniak to the club immediately.

The Bulldogs have beaten the Wests Tigers and Cowboys for the Kiwi captain’s services.

The Tigers were desperate to sign Watene-Zelezniak, who has been released from Penrith, however they couldn’t move a player on to make room in the salary cap for his services.

Pom said we didn't need to move anyone on to fit him in, something else must of happened

He probably wanted more dollars than we were prepared to give him and the dogs are desperate so they gave it

What does this mean for Meaney, wing or reggies, he chose the dogs over us so he could play fullback

I only wanted DWZ as a centre anyway. I personally don't think he is much better than Mbye currently.

We have 2 more years of issues thanks to old mate Ivan. I am very excited for season 2021 which is the last year of $3 million worth of "talent". That will be our most exciting spending spree since 2003. Of course we had one in 2017, but we had a donkey running things who should never be in charge of a roster.

Looks like Ivan didn’t want any of the rubbish that he signed when he was here.

More like he watched us 'play' on Friday night and thought....nup not going there!

man

so, a team whose roster is worse then ours, whose manager is inferior to ours, whose salary cap is apparently handicapped for the next 2 seasons...just snagged a top player?

are we really thought of as such a crap club among the NRL players? must be....

This was a 50/50 positive signing anyway. DWZ isn’t really a game changer, and was essentially demanding a fullback position, which stifles his versatility. We have some poor quality players but it’s looking like one of those situations that we’ll just have to grind out over the next year or so.. Ivan has screwed us big time with all of these long term poor signings.

If Maguire wanted him thats a major blow. Our inability to recruit against other clubs continues to be our biggest problem.

Enough's enough.

By the time Centre of Excellence is built, we need to move to one home ground.

I think facilities have a lot to do with players coming to your club.

We'll get more cash to play all our games at Bankwest which will put the club in a better position financially as well.

This can't go on

@851 obviously the word is out GO nowhere near the Tigers ...so this is the organisation we support what a professionally run business it is an embarrassment!

I would surely hope not, but on the surface it is hard to argue against
