Do we still need the 30 players by end of June? As in I think we are still on 29, and although if we get DWZ, if we transfer out 2 more, don't we need to replace those 2 with 2 others?

If we sign no one else before 30th June we will just add from ISP to top 30. Although Madge does seem to be on a mission to overhaul the roster sooner rather than later.

Current form we pay the right price .....potential signings at market value

As long as we aren't getting sucked into paying marquee prices for non marquee players

DWZ and Mbye are good examples ...if your not sure they are fullback material we don't pay fullback prices

You start spending 600-700 k for potential fullbacks that end up as glorified utility players or wingers

Probably two wingers worth 600 k in the comp

Two years? I doubt it took two months. We used the cap space on Packer, Matulino, Reynolds and McQueen. Three outright flops who have made no first grade contribution at all and one mediocre prop. Minimum two mil a year - that's more than 20% of the cap gone on nothing.

Indeed. Reading between the lines he's decided who he doesn't need in the squad going forward and is now aggressively moving to cut bait on as much of the dead wood as possible. It's a long way back from here but this is the only way to do it.

@2041 Madge ain't no Nathan Brown. He should be able to assemble and implement his own team/support staff & systems before we all start raising the white flags. half a year he's had now...I'm sure he's had a good look around & knows whats needed and what's best moving forward. We've got a lot going for us IMO sleeping giants.

Yes I am pretty confident he will get us a better, more competitive roster inside next 2 seasons.
