Eisenhuth and Twal. The new old school rotation.

I mentioned after last week that I was looking forward to Mats and Packer starting the game for the impact they would bring but I never imagined what that would mean with Twal and Eiso coming on for first change and their impact, they were huge.

As a pair they offer something different to Mats and Packer but damn they were good. I also really loved how Cleary started them in the second half keeping Packerlino to finish the game with their experience and although Mats got sin binned I think this tactic will serve us well because we don’t lose much if anything with our front ro rotation.

It's a great rotation. I've read multiple opposition forums (including the Storm) commenting about how poor our bench is.

Storm fans wouldn't know their arse from their elbow, these are the same clowns that reckon they were hard done by last night.

Packer Matalino Eisenhuth and Twal are all better for our team than woods IMO
Our play the balls seem to be much quicker which puts the opposition on the back foot more often
We also seem to be making more offload across the park
Sure woods would make a few meters and get a few offloads
But he was to slow playing the ball which allowed the other teams defence to re organize
We couldn't keep the pressure on and were easy to defend against
Also our defence is definitely better now
Woods latteral movement was very slow
I think all four players mentioned above are far better in that department

Storm fans are like the Roosters and watch 1 game a week

I was a little worried about the lack of experience in both players coming off the bench but I worried over nothing - both players played very well once again and give the team a great workrate around the ruck. Our forward pack has a great balance ATM.

Agree but given Taylor has been so effective at controlling the ruck.. what happens if he is injured. Who do we replace him with?

When I saw the the 29 to 22 loss fort down there 2 years ago on the way into the ground from Richmond station I excitedly asked a father and son pair walking along side me were they confident and they replied "who are we playing".

Eisenhuth, he was very efffective when used at 13 last year when Taylor was injured. Felise or Grant can come in to play front row so we lose very little.

Agree and the only thing that made me think different was some comments I made about Bailey Sironen in the ISP thread and how the change in him in respect of energy to tackle/ ball playing skills was remarkable and based on those efforts I could see how Ivan was positioning him to do a similar role to ET . Looking at the Roosters and Storm game Eiso doesn’t have that kind of repeat effort energy and that is why I question if he could do the same job at the moment

It's amazing with the Hoof , you don't see too many late bloomers in this day and age , the only other one I can remember in recent memory was Brenton Lawrence

Great life lesson , don't ever give up on your dreams

Keep kicking butt and taking names men

And Donny Brasco my response is the Twoof or Twuth

Or the big , bad ugly Twuth , it's coming to hand your butt on platter #Twuth

Or even better Jack Nicholson "You can't handle the Twuth"

Can someone please explain why the love for Eisenhuth?
Seems like a plodder in the Buchanan mould.
Perhaps I just don’t see it…

Umm Constantly makes over 100m per game even off the bench..good after contact metres….makes his tackles with efficiency...can use the ball in the line or before...takes intercepts..big motor can play long minutes if required

Made his way to 1st grade the hard way overcoming adversity with health and injury early in his career..

Plod away Matt..keep plodding away.. Oh n consistently around 50 fantasy ppg..

Twal will also start coming into his own only a pup for a Prop

We need to sign up Eisenhuth and Marsters to long term deals. Describing Eisenhuth as a plodder is really a complement to the way he goes about his business which is low key but consistent and reliable.

Defensively strong,
Good Offloads
Very young

I would like to see them both wind up a bit when they run.

Eisenhuth a plodder? He's lead our props in metres made 2 weeks running. Makes 25+ tackles a game, barely misses any, makes food metres, quick play the balls and has some decent ball skills for a big guy as well as an offload.

Statistically he's probably been the best prop in the NRL over the first 2 rounds. If not, very close to it.

Twal very similar. Only younger.

I'd go so far as to say we have the best prop depth in the comp this year - considering we have Grant, Sue, Felise and even Aloiai not playing.

I agree with you and I like how Packer Matt's and Rochow have been the physical enforcement up in the faces of the opposition pack good to see its a great balance but I think to do that all season we will need MCK on the bench as the back and 3 forwards no extra hooker and Reynolds and Marshall as the halfs combination
