The man from castleford will be on 2sm talkin' sport after the 5.30pm news today.
Tunks joked that he will become an australian citizen .
…it's a great resigning for the wests tigrrs

"it's one of the best decisions i have ever made, to come and play for the wests tigers"

"sheens wants to covert poor ellis into a prop, as he gets older.

We have to start now getting back on track with this game against souths, and he has also spoken to his wife regarding australian residency

Only a supercomputer could possibly deduce why Sheens is fixated on turning every second forward into a prop :brick:

i would just wait and see with this one. I can see merit in it under certain circumstances. If gareth maintains what he's done since arriving here then there's no need to move him ever. But sometimes as a big backrower gets older, they can find themselves more suited to the front row. If gareth slows down a little, i can see him playing a good role up front if thats whats necessary. Remember sirro's move to the front row? It prolonged his career. Steve price is another, although he moved up front a bit earlier in his career.

I just hope sheens doesnt have his mind set on it. It should only be done if its obvious thats what gareth needs.

sheens almost ruined bronson harrisons career by trying to make him into a prop…he went to canberra playing his rightful position 2nd row and he's in career best form!

Sat a few seats away from him at dinner at abbotsford. Hes seems like a very nice guy. He said he was enjoying sydney with his partner etc. I said he looked funny when they taped him up in the north qld game and he laughed and said he had to breath through his mouth- he said he was going to come off but thoguht he should stay on…lol

Ellis will be a great prop; i have thought that is where he would end up before it was mentioned. And it will free up a slot for dwyer.

Ellis is not a prop and only an idiot would try and turn him into one.

What a waste of his talents being used as a battering ram.

Sheens never learns.

He's been playing like a prop since he got here. He's a not a line breaking forward, he hits hard in defence and makes plenty of metres. Yep sounds like a front rower to me.

In saying that, i'd prefer he stayed in the back row and continues playing the role of the third front rower on the field.

if you watched him play in england that couldn't be further from the truth.

We don't use him in attack as effectively as we should. Then again, that is hardly a surprise.

i've seen him in england, yes he played wider and was more dangerous when he got the ball, but his work rate was no where near as high, not to mention the defense there is very ordinary in comparison with the nrl.

The role he's playing at the moment is far better for the team, than what he did in england.

imo he is far too dangerous running wide to be used as a battering ram, and now this weekend he will spend time at prop bashing the ball up because sheens refuses to replace an injured prop with another prop.

oh know if sheens plays him as a prop, we'd only ever have 2 props in the team each week.
Best to let sheens play him at back row (even though he does a prop's work, and then some)
