ELLIS OUT !?!

This is a big loss but this is what these fringe players are there for. Time to step up. This will be a real test of our credentials. Good teams win in such circumstances.

That's gonna hurt. Has their been any official word on this yet?
Time for Shirnack and/or Moors to step up and play their hearts out. Fifita to start and have a blinder!

i'm actually looking forward to this!
It will give guys like Fifita, Gibbs, Fulton and Shirnak a chance to show how far they have come.
bring it on I say!

Website has only confirmed that Galloway is out so far. Moors has flown up to take his place. Cayless has an injury so wasn't considered.

Ashford is still a chance to play, if he doesn't, Daniella will slot in.

AYSHFORD STILL A CHANCE TO PLAY AGAINST COWBOYS
9/04/2010 9:59:41 AM

Wests Tigers centre Blake Ayshford remains a chance to play against the North Queensland Cowboys at Dairy Farmers Stadium on Saturday night in round five of the Telstra Premiership.

Ayshford suffered a strained right knee in the dying seconds of the win over Canberra last Sunday. He was named in the team by coach Tim Sheens on Tuesday after undergoing scans.

“Blake trained well with the team on Thursday night. It is now a case of seeing how Blake recovers,’’ said Wests Tigers Football Operations Manager Alan Mair.

“If he is to right to play, he will take his spot in the team. If not, Geoff Daniela will replace him.”

Mair also said prop Junior Moors has travelled to North Queensland in replace of the injured Keith Galloway. Sheens is yet to decide who will replace Galloway in the starting side.

Prop Jason Cayless was not considered due to injury (boil on his groin).

Saturday nights game will give a great indication as to how our season is going to pan out. Not so much in the result but the way in which that result is achieved.
I'm still filthy about our effort against Roosters..I thought it was a gutless and pathetic application to defense.
A similar effort against the Cowboys and we will be destroyed in more ways than one.

Personally I'm expecting the replacements to step up and cover the losses adequately whilst the guns go up to Benji's level of play this year and deliver the victory.

If we lose with our chins up and fists held high I'll be impressed. If we go down without a whimper like we do three or four times every year I'll be hard pressed to be convinced we are a force this year.

Agree. A real chance to show everyone what they are made of. Bring it on!!!

Not out of st it at all , as I have said before the Cows dont play a brutal forwards dominated style of game. This gives the team extra motivation, no hope under dog status. Scrape a win out of this game against the odds would do absolute wonders for our 2010 prospects. A win against the odds, they have been few and far between but I think we are a chance

Huge loss. Will need another super human effort in defence from Fults now.

The new signings must now step up and prove a point as to why Sheens signed them !

Lone Scout from NRL Dream Team on Facebook has eluded to this happening…

Thats Were I saw it...

If we can win this game with a depleted pack it will show that we really are top 4 contenders.

For sure, hopefully Benji carves it up. Were going to need him at his best.

mentally this game is ripe for the taking.
cowboy forwards relax while the tigers go out there with something to prove.
well that's what i hope .

if this club has extra steel, this is the game to prove it.

Massive, massive loss.

I am at least comforted that Daniela will replace Ayshford if he's out.

Finally it seems we aren't shuffling positions or playing players out of position.

Ellis out is a big loss but Fulton is in good form and will play the full 80 if required. Moors in for Galloway is better than Cayless IMO. Hopefully Al Schirnack or Willie Mataka is added to the bench. Here is an updated injury list for the Tigers, and Ellis is not listed…

Agreed. And if we lose we better not hear any excuses.

Injuries are part and parcel of the game and we just have to deal with them better than we have in the past.

NO EXCUSES!

if our players have the mentality of some of you on here we are done for.

we can still win this

gibbs and fifita to start cayless and moors on the bench back row of payten heigno and fulton, flanagan on the bench he will slot into back row when todd comes off todd is then acting as another prop.

dunno who the final bench spot will go to, but our bench will have cayless moors and flanagan on it hopefully J shirnak is there, this is one time sheens needs to go with extra forward on the bench not a back
