Tri-Nations final

What round of the NRL was that?

Believe it or not there is actually Rugby League that goes on outside the NRL. He actually fired against the megastars of Rugby League (the Australian team), not a few big names and a dozen players ranging from mediocre to above average (like an NRL side).

Megastars like Brett Morris, Kurt Gidley and David Shillington?

Brett Morris who bagged 30 tries in his last 28 NRL games.
David Shillington who dominated our pack on Sunday.
Kurt Gidley gets selected on his reputation alone.

Throw in Inglis, Thurston, Lockyer, Slater, Hayne, Watmough, Smith, Civonaceva, etc, etc, etc, the Australian team would smash every single team in the NRL, it's basically the best of the best in the NRL (minus maybe 3-4 guys who are kiwis), a big performance against the Kanagaroos is more impressive than a big performance against any NRL side.

The way Ellis tackles, I'd be scared as any opposition player. So frequently he does these one on one bear hug tackles that look like they would kill! Seems to just get a hold of a ball runner and throw them to the ground.

Burgess is going to be something else, no question, he has better skills than most I have seen at his size…..he would be sought after by any NRL club but Ellis really is something special too. He is getting noticed but is still under rated for mine. He was one of the better players in the NRL last season and is generally making most team of the week lists this season again. Burgess is going to come up with some dynamic performances this season but Ellis will perform week in week out to a very high standard and that to me means better value to a club.
