English Super League Potentials

Pommy backs are generally useless and don't aim up in the NRL.

I think the only one recently is Dom Young and he was a kid.
Do you remember when Dom started in the NRL?
He was absolute shit on a stick.
Newcastle performed miracles on him.

I don’t think anyone from the Old Dart will help our cause really. Canberra did well a few years ago picking up the likes of Hodgson, Whitehead and Bateman in his prime, but other than that there hasn’t really been any Englishmen tearing it up in the NRL for quite some time. Apart from the one gem in Ellis, our English signings have been very underwhelming. I don’t know why Richo thinks hunting in the ESL will bring us any success.

Because no player noteworthy in the NRL wants to join us…….

3. I think our spine next year is great, maybe a lock becomes a little less important. Pole shows enough talent for a young bloke to persist with. Benji should be able to coach this guy.
Love this - I think Pole is the one,
It's easy to forget he came straight into firsts from SG Ball on the back of a couple years where not much was happening below first grade (Covid).

I see all and sundry banging on about what he doesn't do (Ball play etc.) But this is only a part of what a lock does. He's decent in defence, Impact in attack, The best footwork at the line for a forward at the club, And he's just turned 22.
His only problem is, He's been jammed in first grade far too early - For his age and experience he's been relied on far too much over the last couple years... And he's been in a rubbish side
- Bit hard to develop your game when you're on the back of a whipping every week....

Push him back to lower grades for a couple months with some things to work on,
He'd come back with a whole new game.

Which lower grade team of ours that doesn’t get flogged are you putting him in?

Ex NRL players that were fringe first graders rejected by their previous club.

Usual standard signings
