Ennis Could make the All Star Side

Ennis is no where near as bad as 95% of the posters on here make him out to be. Probably just outside the top 5 hookers in the NRL (Smith, Luke, Farah, Ballin and Friend), but he is by no means the worst. As for the people attacking his character, that's pretty low, from all reports I've heard he is a decent bloke off the field.

Don't believe all the so-called reports you've heard - as my mail is he has always been a very hard bloke to get along with!!

That is part of the reason that is he at his 4th club!

He is a mug on the field regardless!!

His form for Canterbury & NSW in 2010 was not even close to top 5!!!!!

People have slammed Utai's character without knowing him (tarring him with the Willie/SBW brush) - but apparently Ennis deserves respect!!

He will not be getting mine!!!

could it be that ennis is becoming the ' kevin muscat ' of the nrl, aka the most despised player in the game.( even though ennis is nowhere near the outrageous thug that kevin muscat is ) ? time will tell i suppose

Ennis isn't even close to Muscat. Roll Hoppa, Watmong, Bird, Morrison and O'Donnell into one, you are getting close to that grub Muscat. Ennis is just a pest on the field, Muscat goes out to intentionally hurt people.

smeg - I'll concede that some people have an over-stated hatred of Ennis - but whether I like him or not - I find it very hard to respect a bloke who tries to make a name for himself by starting a blue and then immediately ducking behind his own prop when it kicks off!!!

Especially when it happens when his team is in possession on their own 30 metre line - and the resulting penalty wins the game for Qld!!!

I've always wondered what Ennis did for Heighno to grab him after the final siren in Brisbane a few years ago? As the players where shaking hands, Heighno went straight up to Ennis and grabbed him with a shove. Funnily enough Corey Parker (Ennis Teammate) ended up pushing Ennis away and settled Heighno down... 😱pen_mouth:

I'm just saying if you carry on like the way he does, you've gotta cop the consequent reactions from fans and the public.
I'm not doubting whether he is a good father, husband etc (which im sure he is) because that is irrelevent. The Michael Ennis that i see presented on the football field week in week out and in the media is an arrogant grub. Rugby league reveals alot about character and the way he handled himself that 3rd origin was enough to make a fair judgement.
