OFFICIAL Esan Marsters [Discussion]

If this guy doesn't get the flick from kicking after this week, I'll be very disappointed in Madge. His misses are just unacceptable at this level! It's very possible that we will lose this match tonight because this idiot can't kick to save his life and the coaching staff is just accepting it? Open your eyes guys!

This is the coaches issue which has not been rectified the coach is as much to blame as the player … why even bother putting all the preparation in through the week when it means squat on game day as the kicker is throwing away 6 to 10 points a game .. fix it !

So who wants to be the moron that says Marster’s goal kicking didn’t cost us that game… “oh but it’s a team game and we had other missed opportunities!”

100% agreed this loss is on Madge’s head. Masters should have been relieved of the kicking duties after last week. He is not a kicker, tonight we needed a kicker who could kick at 33% and he blew it.
Once again this is not a go at Masters, it’s not his fault he can’t kick

The days of kickers win matches not lose them are gone, if marsters kicks next week I’ll be buggered. If we don’t have a kicker, buy one. It’s easier to hide a nuptials in defence then is is to give away two points every try.

Marsters is the main reason we lost today. We need a better kicker. Also 0/3 field goal attempts is under 8s efforts

great now we get to hear about how nathan cleary is such a hero. It had nothing to do with the fact masters missed from pretty much infront im sure after the second or third kick i saw him smirking like it was funny. Surely there has to be someone else in the team who could kick. All he needs to do is kick one and we win what a spud.

We need to buy a goal kicker we are a grinding team with close games. This won’t be the first game we lose like this. It should have been 14-2 game over. Better team lost scoring two tries to one.

Totally agree, the game was lost solely on goal kicking. In total 6 attempts at putting the ball through the sticks not one single point.

If you are paid to play football as a kicker you should be able to kick. Surely we have someone that actually understands the concept of kicking goals, if not maybe we can try to bring in AFL style posts. Then again I don’t think he would have even managed points with those.

Geo has been putting up stats saying his kicking is not bad, well we tried to tell him it sucked, tonight proved it, if it wasn't already confirmed

Overall yes. But I think Mbye kicked close to 80% in his last "half a year" at the dogs. He kicked low and direct. Marsters sucks like nothing i have ever seen. Its effecting his general play too IMO.

I don’t usually point the finger at one player after a loss but geez it’s hard not to this time. Missed a sitter right in front, think there were 2 sitters during the game actually. That’s the kind of pressure not having a goal kicker puts on us. And we’ll have more losses like that if they don’t fix it. He needs a rest.. Looked completely unconfident, even in general play tonight.
