THIS GETS ME.

Our clubs Merged, We did not become "new" entities but two entities joining together. We are both foundation clubs with proud histories.

Our club needs to put it's foot down. We were established in 1908. We are a foundation club!

Barry O'Farrell, take care of this.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the entire clubs never merged? A team was formed in the NRL and the license was given?

So how many spoons do we have? 3 or 22?

Premierships: 11 – 1915, 1916, 1917, 1919, 1920, 1924, 1939, 1944, 1946, 1947, 1969

16 premiereships in total.

Yes the Magpies were a dirt poor team that got their arses handed to them. Dirt poor and damn proud.

Seriously, no one here barracks for a new team created in 2000 called the "Wests Tigers" we identify with the past of Balmain and Magpies. We are arguing for historic locations like Leichaert or Campbelltown to be the focus.

Does Tommy R mean NOTHING to this club?
Does Blocker Roach , Sironen and the champions of the past mean NOTHING.

When Easts talk about a 100+ year culture and how that propels an organisation.. we talk this BS of being founded in 2000. This is the exact issue that a Board should fix and loudly fix.

We were not founded in 2000. If we were then, heck I am walking.

The sea eagles (who kinda swallowed the Bears).

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and play out of 4 Pines Park in Brookvale. Since entering the competition in 1947, the Club has won 8 Premierships and has played in 19 Grand Finals.

The Dragons however go by 1999
The club has competed in the National Rugby League since 1999 after a joint-venture was formed between the St. George Dragons and the Illawarra Steelers

... From all I see the Dragons have fully taken over the identity and side. man Ben Creagh looks like a total Dope. Seriously a rival to Jason Taylor for stupidest face in League.

Walking?
It took you a quarter of a century to come to this decision?

I really don't know why our combined history was deleted when St George-Illawarra can keep theirs. Guess it suits the NRL's agenda because they were unhappy Balmain didn't merge with the slime and the Magpies didn't simply fade into history.

Langlands, Raper, Gasnier, Provan, Burge, all these immortals need to have played in a team.

Where does this occur?
How many GF wins do Saints Illawarra have?

I fail to see the relevance.
They are all St George players. Perhaps it would be different for us if we had an immortal or two. Let me ask you? Can you promote an immortal or any legend of the game without mentioning the team he played in?

Still don't see how that has any relevance to the records retaining the premierships both clubs won prior to the merger. Don't need an immortal to win a premiership.
Anyhoo - as Mr Ink has mentioned it appears I was wrong re St George having theirs counted post merger.
