Everyone on here thinks they are a COACH.

Look on the positive side. If JT needs some help there are plenty of people who will help out if he wants it and they will do it for free.

I have been on this forum since 2013, and only recently have been posting comments/threads.

All i read on here is people bagging previous/current coaches.
Correct me if I'm wrong but i have not seen one member of this forum a previous or current NRL Coach.
Yet every week after every game there are members bagging coaches like they are hall of fame coaches who know what they're talking about.

Can we stop putting so much pressure on coaches and players and let them do their job.

Before Taylor started the club was a disaster. It is now round 11 and i have to admit we aren't playing really well. BUT lets stick by Taylor as he seems like the only coach who wants to change things here and implement his way of becoming a structured team. We have some of the most talented young players in the NRL, who will only begin to get better with game time. CONFIDENCE from the fans is key.

Especially seeing it from respected members of this forum :crazy . Time to wake up guys and support the team as we finally have someone who cares and has the balls to stick through the pain. He also has the support of the hierachy of the club.

Cannot wait for the members who will give me shiet, but i couldn't care about your ignorance.
:sign:

The only people putting pressure on themselves are the players when you look at their position on the ladder. They are well paid athletes who are not performing to their full potential. When it comes to the coach I have absolutely no problem agreeing or disagreeing with his tactics, team selection etc. I keep hearing we have the most talented young players in the game, yet every week I see other clubs young players out perform ours. We have committed to a three year plan, and I will be looking forward to reaping the rewards as a loyal member. But should I not voice my opinion when I do not agree with something? Personally I like to voice my opinion on this forum, and no I am not a first grade coach, only in my own mind!

WswWT; I think you need to realise that when your team is playing poorly that you need to blame someone.

Our team has been playing poorly for a number of years. JT just came on board.
We simple don't have the cattle. Recruitment is just terrible and has been for as long as I can remember.
We have reserve grade forwards. Until we change the way we recruit like Stuart has done at Canberra we will keep playing poorly.

Yup thats what I meant. Previous to JT we yelled at Potter, and Sheenious before him. And don't disagree with the recruitment but that's something that JT inherited; lets see the mid season changes and what happens in the off season.

There is nothing positive coming from anyone, a lot of trash talk about the coaches and players.

That's because we are not winning. Simple really.

WswWT,the only way I can put it is in this little scenario…...

We coach kids golf at where I work, they grab a club and start trying to smash the ball as hard as possible, most of the time they miss, looking for the big hit...

we teach them how to grip the club, align themselves and slow down the swing...we teach them a technique on how to strike the ball fluently and solidly...

JTis trying to teach these kids defence,a technique and structure to follow during the games...as with our kids some are more talented than others but all learn that technique and hit the ball well...the kids in our team are no different, some more talented than others and the attack will come naturally to them, but first the defense technique must be learnt...

So, how many of our forum members ARE coaches?, I recieved my Level 3 coaching certificate in 1989, I haven't updated it since as I no longer coach but I was always under the impression that a NRL level type coach HAD to have a Level 1 certificate and be a qualified referee, has anything changed in the 20 or so years since I was involved?.

Got mine in 92… I still contribute in both RL & RU.

I get what you're trying to say TT, but the team isn't a bunch of 10 year olds! Most of them have been playing footy for a long time throughout the different ranks. They should already know how to defend to a structure.

Similar to you, put back in after my knee went again and ended my playing days, and haven't been involved since the late eighties.

People who claim to be true supporters and look down on the rest of us who choose to have an opinion with more substance than ''Win or lose, i'm a Tiger for life woooo'' are vile human beings. They remind me of bible bashers telling the rest of society they are going to hell if they don't worship God. Notice how you never see anyone bagging the club whinging about people staying positive. Its always the other way around. Its old and its boring, get a life.

Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has them, and some stink.

Coached three years ago , but now just help out because of the crossover with the basketball season as I coach that as well

Not that I have a clue at what I'm doing with basketball LOL

lol…my best mate in high school was a basketballer and a friend of his (now a good friend of mine) had a hoop at his house so i would join in when i was around for some 3 on 3 or so.

but i was the worst basketballer! to this day my mate (who had the hoop) and i still have a laugh at what everyone used to think when i played back then: "uh oh... whos going to get hurt today?!"

I think your acting "precious" in degrading honest opinions if they do not backslap everything you consider correct . EVERYONE has the right to an opinion , & provided they are not insulting etc , should be heard , I questioned the game being played by the tigers after JT said he was only concentrating on defence at this point in time , that begs the question , what do we do when we have possession ? nothing ?, I'm hoping that I misunderstood his press conference remarks , As I would love to see him succeed .
incidentally , I have followed the "tigers" since the late 1940's .
