Expectations for tomorrow night?

I expect an absolute bloodbath. With what must be close to our worst backline ever fielded, we will really struggle to score points.

I also expect Benji to come into the game early when Potter realises what a retarded decision he has made and run like he used to. Potter doesnt seem to keen on forming any combinations in attack so if I was Benji I would play for myself and run the ball on every touch.

I dont rate our halves but the rest of the backline is ok by me, despite lacking experience

still expecting a bloodbath :frowning:

This reminds me of school rugby, we'd go out their week in week out knowing we were gonna get smashed as we were physically outclassed in every way by the other school's imports who had played for the country in junior rep teams. But we'd always put in 100% and try keep the scoreline as respectable as possible.

Agree used to or try to play against St Gregs.Im sure they were 25 year olds that still went to school. Not excited about tonight's game at all. TAB has us at $9.40 for a win lol

TAB had odds on ya at school level!? surely that'd be heaps more susceptible to match fixing. plus not that big a market and not the best publicity?

Like all games this year ill wonder " what if" then by the end of the game ill be dirty that I got my hopes up and promise myself not to do it next week. Rinse, repeat 26 times.

A large loss, another week of turmoil, more speculation about Benji and other players. We have taken all the heat of Parra and Penrith this year. I think this year has shown that Potter is out of his depth in the NRL and I am not the only one with this view, some within the Wests Tigers agree.

To be fair though there are reasons beyond his control for being out of his depth. I don't think any nrl coach, not even Bellamy would get our side firing right now. Our situation is that dire.

I agree that our situation is dire, but before all the injuries our side did not look good and the future was grim. Lawrence, Anasta, Benji, Blair were all plying well bellow their best. No one is expecting us to make the 8 or win the comp with this team, but the effort is just not there and how can so many quality players be out of form? I believe that the turmoil the club is in off the field is now affecting the team on the field. Drastic change is needed in this club otherwise it will be a long and painful journey back, if we ever get back to where this club deserves to be.

let's see how the no. 1 team goes if we take out sam burgess, sutton, inglis and meritt let alone a FRINGE top 8 side in the Tigers. We have Tuqiri, Galloway, Ayshford and Moltz out not to mention those not firing in Benji, Lawrence and Blair.

Clean out 6-7 players we don't need, make a big purchase THEN criticise potter if results dont come our way.

I believe that when I see it. I am not blaming Potter for this, my blame lays squarely with the man he replaced and the clean out he thought we needed (Fafita, Gibbs, heigno, Ryan, and others). I just believe, with the club in the position it is in he is out of his depth. Only an opinion.

Exactly, any coach would be out of their depth by that definition. Because of Sheens actions; bought Blair, kept Tuqiri and Lawrence and fired Fifita and Ryan. Therefore, I think that Potter is good NRL coach cursed by bad luck and a poor roster as a result of his predecessor.

I agree with the sentiment, but am not sold on Potter being a good NRL coach. He hasnt proven that yet.

Yeh but u have to remember we re signed Chris Lawrence when he was in great form and was set to play for nsw before he got injured he signed the contract a week before he got injured and he was smashing teams apart.

Literitly expecting a 50 point loss, but hoping it's only 20 point loss. give us ZERO chance

it will be 20 -0 before Benji even comes on, Merritt will score 4 trys. Ingliss will have about 10 line breaks, Issac Luke will kill us like crazy. Sutton has our game circuled every year should have abolut 20 offloads. and we should miss about 100 tackles.

that is my expecttations. anyone who has expectations is high and in the fairys we are the worst team in teh comp playing the best form team in the cmp who we never beat

I will run naked in the Sydney CBO if we win this game.

I am expecting to be thrashed tonight as we have 9 players with less than 10 games NRL experience against the premiership favourites with a big physical pack of forwards and the best player in the comp GI running a muck.

We struggled over the years to beat Souths when we have a better squad.

Having said the above I am excited that we do have 9 new players including the debut of Noro. Marshall and Blair have both been subject to stinging attacks in the media and rightly so.

Except for Reddy and Fulton our backline looks like the future. Move Sirro to the pack and add Pat Richards, Moses and Brooks to the backline and there is our future for the next 5 to 10 years.

Except for Reddy we have pace in the backline which all Forum members have been crying out for.

Bring on the next Generation tonight and stick by them for the long run.

I'll hold you to your word golden  I doubt any of that will come true, inglis wont have 10 line breaks, meritt wont have 4 tries and our missed tackles will not be near 50 let alone 100.

I have been doing that since 1980, and will be one of the few Wests Tigers supporters at ANZ tonight. There is always hope.

A game plan.
Players looking like they know what is going on and not looking lost every time we get into their half.
Potter not doing the half time talk.

I expect to get tonite, for a $25 GA seat at ANZ what would probably cost $300 for an hour at the lady with the whips, leather & chains place
