Farah and Taylor

I don't think it will be an issue … I expect Robbie and JT to work well as a team and as professional sportsmen.

Question :if you took captaincy away from Robbie Farah would he cry and run away. Or would you take it like a man and digging.

Is that a retorical question?

I have a feeling both Robbie and Taylor will hit it off like a house on fire. Both very competitive, both have the never give up attitude and both have alot of footy smarts. 2015 looks promising.

What's that mean?

Difference of opinion is all good -

I just wish at this early stage at least
We could back our new coach and skipper

Is that to much to dream/ask for

Yep. No matter if someone is a decent bloke, communication skills are critical.

There is only one person who has been on the coaching team for the past two years but apparently it was all the fault of everyone around him. Georgalis, Simmons and Leeds in 2013\. Payten and Kidwell in 2014.

Whats that old saying? Need to look at yourself?

His football knowledge should be superior to Potter's and I doubt his going to come in and wield the big stick like Potter did.

Why should it be superior? Potter did win the Dally M twice after all, 7 years apart. He also played in 4 grand finals, winning 2 with the Doggies.

Taylor is no slouch but on those stats he won Rothmans once and played the 2001 GF loss to Newcastle.

Irrelevant.

The best box erector in a box erecting factory doesn't make the best manager of a box erecting factory.

Well Irvine is talking about box erecting knowledge, not box erector management.

There is nothing to say who of JT or MP has superior "football knowledge", it would be purely personal opinion.

I just found this thread and thought I'd put in my 2 cents.
I think '2041' has said it well; "But a good management culture can be flexible to the input of stakeholders all the way through the organisation, and benefit from it, rather than simply alienating anyone who takes a different view."
I'd take it a step further and say that a strong leader recognises and utilises the strengths of all of his 'staff' so as to gain maximum input from those staff. Part of that is understanding individual motivations and acknowledging individual ideas and input. From what has been said in the media, Jason Taylor is that kind of leader. He wants everyone to be involved with his plans and come along with them. By involving the players at that level he is making his plans, their plans.
From my lofty position here in my armchair, it looks to me like Jason Taylor's management style is neither matey or dictatorial, it is based on good leadership principles. If so, he will neither kowtow to Farah, nor bench him unnecessarily.
It then comes down to Farah. If Farah is smart, he will follow the leader, the man who has been employed to lead. If not, we will see just how strong our new management structure is.

It's not about whether Farah and Taylor get along, it's about who the West Tigers fans decide is the scapegoat for 2015.

2012 - Sheens
2013 - Benji
2014 - Potter
2105 - Taylor or Robbie?

Given our pattern, I would say that most of you will choose Robbie when the time comes. Like Benji, we will hear lots about his "ego" and how he "runs the club" without a shred of evidence, but it will most likely be enough.

Farah's not doing an effective enough job if it takes 91 years to oust him.
