Farah and the qld song

Loving all this tbh.
Keep it up Aussie. Lets hope it blows way out of proportion and it derails the side for the WC

Go Kiwis!!

For my money this just goes to the arrogance of the Qld ellement of the national team. Those individuals involved clearly showed that they place their alegiance to their state well abouve that of their country. Perhaps it underlines the need for a national song but it is certainly not on. What would happen if Uati did a victory lap draped in the Fijian flag. These blokes need to understand that playing for their country is the greatest compliment that can be given to any profesional sportsman and they should respect that honour.

What evidence do you have that they do not? A lot of these blokes are on the record saying that representing their country was a career highlight. The games themselves may not be the highest calibre due to lackluster opposition, but the kangaroo jersey is the pinnacle.

I know a former Kangaroo and SOO player who has always stated playing/representing his country as the pinnacle and greatest highlight of his career… He has talked about leading his team out for Grand Finals, SOO's, but when he talks about leading his team out for Australia you can see inside him how much it meant!

Country will always mean more than State when you have played plenty!

I can't see what the fuss is about. Queenslanders love singing songs and they play an important role in the national team. As Simon Poidevin said, "It was great touring with Queenslanders because it always ensured there were some terrific banjo players in the team."

If someone can post the words to this so called Qld song, I might try singing it. A couple years back a song that hit no.1 in Australia, New York, was sung in pubs and clubs everywhere. Are we all Yankees, are we all a disgrace for singing the praises of a place we don't come from. Come on.
