Farah benching

I don't think resting Farah for ten minutes either side of halftime has been particularly effective so far, and I wonder what the rationale is behind it. The main possibilities seem to be:

1\. Taylor doesn't think Robbie can go 80 minutes any more.
2\. He thinks Halatau adds some extra spark during his spell.
3\. Taylor is trying to send a message to Robbie about who the boss is after his antics last year.
4\. Cherrington is due to get blooded soon and will be filling Halatau's role.

No need for conjecture - Taylor has come out and said he wants someone ready to slot in when Farah's not there.
Only problem is Halatau is his choice ( and, at this time, logically our only one -unfortunately)

He said in the dragons post interview.

- Will keep him fresher in the back end of the season
- Provides practice and implementation so it isn't a big change over the origin period

Two very good points. And you can certainly see the freshness in his second half return.

Farah was our best behind Woods today. I'd hope that's it for the Farah benching idea.

I reckon benching is okay to allow Farah a better game and overall season. I though Farah was really good today though.

Yeah, it's often the case a stupid penalty costs us. That and stupid mistakes. We are a bit off souths at this point though. They had us.
