Farah close to signing a new deal with Tigers

well heres a different spin, i love having farah at the tigers but it would not be the worst thing if he left, just think what cap it would free up and we could pick up peats or king for 1/2 robbies price, both are younger and it would break up the, presived crap over robbie and benji running the whole show.then we could get rid of benji and get a real 5/8, now if this does not spark debate nothing will.

i'm not getting on your case , but if you understand footy you would come to the conclusion that he is our most prized asset…

Best player in our team…..our captain....a local.

Absolute champ.....one us a million games.Heart
and soul of our team.

An absolute MUST sign.

That is all.

Until its signed, nothing is set in concrete. However if Parra have given up the chase, then farah's barging power just dropped. Regardless we need to re-sign him. He, unlike benji will steer the youger guys coming through and make them good players. Hope he sign soon.

Parra just said that to save face…they dint want to be know as a club everyone rejects

Thats a plausible assumption - the more big names that knock them back the harder it is to attract quality players - whereas if they say they ceased negotiations because he didn't fit in to their plans it gives them a bit more cred in the market.

I fail too see how Farah's bargaining power would diminish re Parra…the bloke could get a gig anywhere at top coin...aside from the Storm, who wouldnt want him??

The guy is a legend and should be retained at all costs.

Love him to be a Wests Tiger player for life.

Inspirational player and one you can build a team around.

Funny how Parramatta can not attract anyone half decent.

Even their Eel was rejected by John West.

We aren't doing much better imo

Our best signing was probably Anasta , both Pettybourne and Thompson were fringe first graders

There hasn't been a lot to get excited about at Wests Tigers for quite a while imo but to resign Farah would turn that around for me it would finally be something to cheer about, here's hoping we get good news soon.

I pride myself as a rational and astutel decision maker. No player comes at any cost. With that in mind, I say Farah is the one player I would happily pay whatever he wants. The team needs him. His performances are consistently excellent, he fires off a thousand tackles and tries to fire up lesser performing players. The pain he feels when the team isn't putting in or underperforming is very real and I love it. That's a man our team needs. Talented players are common, players with such gritt and passion to wear the jersey are not.

Maybe because there is no money left in the kitty to buy new players? Hard to imagine when the club should have had plenty left after losing am international and some top first graders recently.

Or mabe we do have cash now since were after Frank the tank and mabe more players but now we just have to re sign Robbie Farah then will see who were going to sign but im sure we do have cash now and we will still have 17 players off contract end off the year to.
