Oh dear. Why of all people does it have to be our captain that is the biggest trollbait in the NRL?

This isn't going to end well for Farah.

Yeah this sucks, he just needs to move on from here or it's only going to get worse.

Thats the problem with todays society, people acting like animals towards each other and people defending it, calling for free speech etc etc.
Yeh why not…..lets lower all our standards even further.

We could try to be nice to each other...

Naaah, no fun, lets act like animals and defend peoples right to do so

Its not about growing a backbone, **its about treating people how you'd like to be treated.**

hillarious

I see what you were getting at now. I suppose the Internet has contributed to the erosion in etiquette in general (both off and online.)

Gen Y = People born in the 80's-90's.

Let me get this right… a psycho with no life who follows the social media remembers a deleted tweet from Robbie a year ago and now this happens???

Just...wow!!!

what was said to robbie on twitter was horrid . But robbie himself has proved to be tweet . Not only with this but also getting into a slanging match with a rival fan on twitter after we lost to i think the roosters in 2010 finals. He is consistantly posting on twitter , all tweets ive ever seen seem completely irrelivent. not only from robbie but anyone on twitter . many celebrities , lara bingle and kim kardashion come to mind , get shocking abuse on it everyday yet they choose to ignore it and carry on with their lives . I think its in his best interest not to shut it down . Kids are getting bullied everyday on facebook etc yet becuase this is rbbie farah he asks barry ofarrell and julia guilard to get involved . :bawling

I love Robbie, the guy triumphed through adversity this yr, but its not hard to see why he's one of those players opposition supporters hate

Unfortunately the world is always changing and our etiquette with it ….... what would of got you a clip behind the ear in the past is now acceptable

In our society we are fortunate enough to have many 'freedoms' however coupled with these 'freedoms' is responsibility, accountability, consideration. Where people decide to exercise, for example, their freedom of speech to the point where others are offended then consequences come into play depending on the level of offensiveness and the number of people offended. In cases where many (majority) are offended then sanctions or rules or laws are introduced. We all know this, however in this country things like twitter and facebook exist outside of the above although this may change. The tweet made about Robbie's late mother was disgraceful imo and deserving of consequences for the writer. Again imo Robbie's tweet concerning the Prime Minister cannot be compared to the one sent to him about his late mother in terms of offensiveness however if I were the PM I might have a different view, besides the office of PM is deserving of more respect regardless of who occupies the position. Nonetheless both writers are learning that there are consequences to exercising freedoms and are being reminded that they come with responsibility.

Hang on Cunno ,why does the PM deserve more respect than you or I ??

She was voted in by the people (well not this person) so she does not deserve any more or less respect than any other person regardless of race ,religion ,marital status or sex as far as I am concerned

First time I disagree with you Cunno. I have no respect for Gillard. The rich get richer the poor get poorer.
