Farah/Taylor Thread...

I think JT and/or O'Neill (and whoever else) are forgetting to carry the 1.

I'm far from a Farah fan, but it's ludicrous playing Halatau ahead of him (if that is indeed what we're going to do).

Jason Taylor told the media this morning that based on the overall talent his team has, Wests Tigers should not be in 14th position on the premiership ladder, but much higher. He stated that he is prepared to make the hard decisions to ensure the team reaches a position higher on the ladder in line with their talent. He didn't state what these hard decisions would be? Is resignation amongst them?

I completely agree with Taylor. We are an underperforming team at this point. That article is spot on as well. Taylor should be under pressure. He hasn't handled this team well at all.

The thing that really annoys me about Taylor is that Robbie is one of our best players but he has created this drama when there was no need. Yes Robbie is overpaid for what he offers us but that wasn't an issue for Taylor to deal with. He should just choose the best possible team and then create a winning game plan for that team. The team then has to execute that game plan. I don't think Taylor has done that so far.

Taylor was right, we should be further up the ladder, he was also right he should drop underperforming players and pick the best team, so I ask why Halatau at 9, why Halatau at all, why is Kev still there after letting try's in every single week, usually in multiples. :crazy

I can handle Halatau being in the squad. I think he is copping it unfairly on here. He should though be used predominantly out wide. I think it's crazy to not play Robbie at 9 and not to utilise all of Robbie's skills. Robbie should be creating stuff around dummy half and being used as a kicking option and 3rd playmaker when required.

I can also handle Naiqama in the team but it must be getting close to dropping him. Offensively he is a great player. Defensively he just makes really bad reads.

I think Taylor came into the coaching role with stupid ideas. He just preached defence but it's not that simple. He tried to get the team to play exactly as he thinks winning footy should be played but he has players with unique skills. To put it simply Taylor has come up with poor game plans.

I listened to LeBron James talk about winning the 3rd game in the NBA finals. He said the coach gave us a good game plan and we executed. I don't think Taylor has given the team good game plans for a lot of the time that he has been here. He seems to be trying to prove things and do other stuff other than win games. For instance he tries to play Robbie as just a passer of the ball and had the team just doing mid-field bombs and 5 boring hit-ups. That is just dumb footy. You saw it in the SOO the other day. It's not going to win games consistently.

I personally think that we should sack him unless he starts getting the team to perform. He has been given a lot of leeway.

Let Taylor do all the dirty work and get rid of Farah, then get rid of him. If Taylor goes first then
Farah will hang around another year.

These guys are crippling our opportunities to move forward as a club. Whilst either are around the focus will not be on football. Pascoe where are you? , time to intervene and put a stop to all this crap.

Steve, I agree with what you are saying. Word is that the halves and dummy half's games don't fit together. Taylor recognised that and wanted to select the best possible team for the game plans but the dummy half spat the dummy. The rest is…........what keeps this forum spinning.

This will become another piece of WTs folklore, Farah hasn't spat any dummy, but within a month, that will become the accepted version.
He hasn't said much or anything about Taylors determination to bench him.
As for not fitting with the halves, niceb way to deflect attention.
If Taylor wants us to win to save his job, then he is stupid to leave one of our best on the bench or out of the team.
Or is he about to waste probably our best backrower at dummy half again. ?
If he keeps jerking ET around, it may become an issue with whether ET stays with us
For more of the same, .

Asking a backdoor to fill in at dummy half during a game is stuffing him about? Lol
He should have rang the RLPA.

Is Taylor going to put a back door on the field , is this some sort of symbolic gesture for Benny to come back and play Hooker,
I've heard that the back door is actually replacing one of the halves. I believe that it's kicking game is vastly better than theirs

Taylor isn't smart enough to do that successfully
Robbie can sit on the reserves hench or in reserve grade itself, for that matter, and pick up his 1.8 million for the two years if that's what Taylor pushes too far.
So what use is that to Taylor. Still pay out the money without the use of our best Hooker, sounds very well thought by Taylor. NOT

I'm familiar with the interview, there was nothing embarrassing about it. Your hatred and ability to deflect anything and everything onto Taylor without actual facts to support it apart from your point of view is beyond ridiculous, you don't like the guy, good for you. But don't try and tell us the inner workings of the team and its personalities and relationships. Simple fact is you don't know, nor does anyone else on here, and that's fine. But give it a rest mate, I struggle to find any post of yours that doesn't have a go at Taylor. That's fine, your point is made. Thanks for that. Same as I THINK Farah is the one upsetting the team harmony, difference is I don't write 20 odd posts about it on every thread everyday… Enjoy your night.[/quote

you just wrote another one  and it didn't have a single fact to back that up

Most people's problems with Taylor are there in front of you on the field , and in Pressos on almost any game day, and in a lot of his interviews. And selections before the ( mythical or not) Bucketts is alleged to have joined him in selections.

Whereas most of the comments about Farah are to do with things that no one would really know for sure about unless they were there. This last eruption seems to have come from a comment Robbie made in answer to a question that he was asked.
When asked how did he feel about the threat to be dropped, He answered that it hurt, and he'd never forget it.
To me, that's a perfectly normal answer for any one to give .
To my knowledge ( correct me if I'm wrong). he never said anything about JT, and I and a lot of people took it as meaning that he was talking about The feelings itself. He didn't bag JT for doing it, ( no matter what he thought) .
Reports , supposedly from someone who seems to have more info than you or me , say that Farah had no problem with Taylor, and was training hard and there was no problems

His ducks and Drakes with the hooker position this week have set the media off again.
I was a supporter of Taylor coming here at the start, , not just because of Potter, but because I genuinely thought that he would do a good job here . but instead I've seem no evidence that he's improved any thing here except maybe our injuries situation, it seemed that that was the case early , but I don't have any figures to really back that up . Our Halves have gone backwards, and seems to not know how to help them.
And it seems that he is prepared to disrupt the club at any cost to try again to force
Farah out.

Still no facts tho are there… What has Taylor said about Farah? Keeping in mind it was another coach who has since been released that actually said the infamous reserve grade comment. Our team hasn't gone backwards, we are fighting mostly everyday with a team full of potential simply because we can't afford anyone and this is what we have got. It's not as if the coach has his perfect team as was the same with potter, we are trying hard to get thru this cap mess AND play competitively, unfortunately, you can't have both. This is the hard times, and will only get better when Farah leaves, simply to free up money... I really don't care for Farah or Taylor to be honest, I'm just prepared to stick with crap for the moment while we get our house back in order. Just sick of the bashing of the coach and Farah for that matter, the media love you guys so they keep serving it up... Every week!! It's getting boring...

As I said in the previous post, the facts are there about JT and are there on the field Pressos etc he's a fool when it comes to selections , man management, getting a team up for a game on a fegular basis and facing reality, he's still saying in the SMH that last week we were good and the halves were good, 13-7

Just because you say the facts are there, they aren't, you have no idea of what goes on inside the inner sanctum and are just assuming to benefit your point of view… Please don't try and justify your reasoning of facts with bias point of views that have no substance whatsoever... I watch the pressers etc, and with my point of view, see it to totally different... However I just don't try to palm it all off as "facts".

If you are happy to applaud mediocrity then that's your problem. But that's one of the reason that we are in the bowels of the competition most times.
Mediocre is our level.

Not sure how you figure that I'm "applauding mediocrity" I'm just being realistic, and knowing our cap situation, I'm willing to accept that we will struggle until it's sorted. No one is just accepting anything…. We are dealing with it and being understanding.... Well some of us are.

If you say so, but you are going to get a pleasant surprise if ever we get a top team .
Then maybe you'll realise what mediocrity, see ya got more important things to do.
