Farah is playing with a groin injury which was sustained in the trail loss to the Parramatta Eels pre season, its called tendonitis and requires surgery, wests tigers advised Farah to play and on the bad weeks to get in injection prior to the game. Apparently they are withdrawing his availability for rep footy this year as the extra games are not needed

at the moment the club is pushing for end of season surgery but if the pain in unbearable for Farah they will get it done around round 10

the recovery time is 10-12 weeks

fingers crossed he holds out and go the tigers!!!

Definitely better to have the op now.

We should still be able to win games with our injuries.
Then when everyone's back on board mid year we'll go undefeated!!

Simple

Who else have we got to play hooker?

Personally if he was to get in now .I would play Lui at hooker Marshall five eight Moltzen at half If he can hang on til Fulton gets back It would be Fulton hooker and Lui half Marshall five eight Moltzen centre (to replace Lawrence) and Brown to replace Lote .

Other option is (wait for the slamming) MacKinnon at hooker and Brown at fullback and Daniela for wing spot Moltzen at centre. If you watch last nights game again watch how many times Mackinnnon plays at dummy half you will be surprised

If this is true, why the HELL didn't they get him to have the op then? FFS.

Totally agree HT and same with Ellis and his groin why did he not get that done in off season also

I actually doubt this to be honest. Or at least the seriousness of it.
He would have had the surgury if he needed it.

Hyland or Farlow to start with Ndaira off the bench. When Fulton is back have him starting hooker with Ndaira off the bench. Happy Tiger`s idea has some merit as well.
It`s very believable that Farah is playing injured as he is still trying his heart out, but just hasn`t got the same zip about him.

Groins are difficult injuries to handle. Its easy to say have the surgery early however surgery might not help. It might simply require a lot of rest.

Going by the timeframe posted by the OP, they couldve bit the bullet, got him opped on after the trial….and he'd be back approx round 7 or 8

or take a chance, see how it goes and if worse comes to worst....he misses the important back third of the season and comes back approx rd 22

he's played all but 2 minutes the first three games....

Makes no sense at all to continue to play him if the injury gets worse. If it's an injury that requires surgery, get it done now so he can at least come back in the backend of the season instead of potentially missing the finals.

Given Farah is playing the full 80, I have some doubts over the seriousness of the injury.
